  • Patent number: 11304490
Abstract: A shaving cream dispenser and application device include a handle having an upper portion and a lower portion which form an internal cavity in which a travel sized shaving cream aerosol canister is placed. The canister includes a nozzle stem on the top that, when pressed towards the canister, opens an internal valve in the canister to release the shaving cream through the nozzle stem. The upper and lower portions of the handle are movably retained together, and a channel is provided at the top of the handle through which the shaving cream is dispensed into a brush or set of bristles at the top of the handle. The nozzle stem is actuated by pressing or moving the upper portion of the handle towards the lower portion. The lower portion of the handle further includes a heating element to heat the canister so that heated shaving cream can be dispensed. A stand is configured to hold the lower portion of the handle and provide electric power to the heating element in the lower portion of the handle.

  • Patent number: 8277138
Abstract: A moveable machine to rapidly apply and cure thin layers of a UV curable coating on a surface such as a floor. The machine has an applicator to apply a thin curable coating in a path following the direction of motion of the machine. The machine also has UV lamps to cure the curable coating with a curing beam that overlaps newly applied coating. The UV lamps emit an intense UV radiation beam creating an annular cure zone around the applicator path. Movement of the machine along with the ensuing movement of the applicator and rotating UV lamps causes the applied curable coating to be exposed to the annular cure zone and cured. This rapid curing of applicator coating paths allows the machine to be immediately passed over the cured area multiple times and rapidly build up multiple thin cured layers to achieve a thick coating.

  • Patent number: 8142090
Abstract: A cosmetic product includes a mascara composition and a treatment device, whereby the mascara composition is applied to the eyelashes by softening the mascara composition via heat. The mascara composition is solid at room temperature, however is softened at elevated temperature, so it may be applied to the eyelashes. The treatment device includes an applicator for receiving, heating to soften, and applying the softened mascara composition to the eyelashes. Once the softened mascara composition is applied to the eyelashes, the mascara composition is quickly cooled and thus solidified by the atmosphere. The mascara composition thus applied to the eyelashes provides a firm film covering the eyelashes, which is not softened at body temperature, and thus provides enhanced wearability. A cap detachable to the applicator is provided with a loading mechanism for delivering pieces of the mascara composition one by one to the applicator.
