  • Patent number: 5560081
Abstract: The present invention concerns a joining sleeve assembly for joining a metal cookware with a cookware handle. Principally, when a metal cookware piece is bent to form a hollow joining sleeve assembly, a pair of protruding pieces and a pair of corresponding rectangular through holes are joined together by means of inter-coupling linkages or hook-coupling linkages, which are very secure. As a result, effects, such as configuration flexibility, simple construction, attractive appearance, strong joining strength and long working life, can be achieved.

Abstract: A fastening system for securing modular panels to an underlying support structure. The fastening system includes a number of pad members, preferably made of foamed material, secured to the underside of each panel, and a saw-like apparatus carried by the pad members for severing the pad members from the vehicle structure. One side of each of the pad members is secured to the panel underside. The other side of each pad member is secured to an appropriate location on the vehicle structure in such a manner that the outer surface of the panel, when the panel is properly secured on the vehicle body, lies flush with the outer surface of the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 5261757
Abstract: A device for mounting a data transmission apparatus to a rotating, tapered and instrumented shaft is provided. This device permits attachment without interfering with shaft rotation or the accuracy of data output, and prevents both radial and axial slippage of the data transmission apparatus. The mounting device consists of a sleeve assembly which is attached to the shaft with clamps that are situated at some distance removed from the instrumented area of the shaft. The data transmission device is secured to the sleeve such that the entire assembly rotates with the shaft. Shim adjustments between sleeve sections assure that a minimum compressive load is transferred to the instrumented area of the shaft and a rubber lining is affixed to a large portion of the interior surface of the sleeve to absorb vibration.
