Abstract: Beverage cartridges, and methods of assembly, are disclosed that include a housing, a filter extending across an interior of the housing dividing the housing into an upper portion and a lower portion, a beverage ingredient disposed within the upper portion of the housing, and a supplement ingredient disposed within the lower portion of the housing. With this configuration, beverage cartridges as provided herein can be used to prepare a mixed beverage containing the beverage ingredient as well as the supplement ingredient.

Abstract: The cup for making tea on the go is a cup and a pack comprising a lid, a refillable teabag, tab for lifting out the bag and an attachment system, that may be secured to the lid or be incorporated in the string, said attachment preventing the bag from falling into the beverage once the tea has been prepared and having a negative effect on the taste and properties thereof, and said pack may also include a spoon and a serving of sugar. The whole pack is provided in a sealed bag that guarantees hygiene and preserves the properties of the tea, so that it does not go stale. The main advantage of said cup is that it also serves as a teapot, so that there is no need to wait in the establishment that supplies the tea, waiting for the beverage to be prepared.

Abstract: For use in a single serving beverage brewer, a disposable beverage filter package comprises a closed permeable pouch. A dry beverage medium is contained within the pouch. The disposable beverage filter package is inserted into a reusable brewing filter chamber which is arranged to force the flow of a metered liquid into the filter package. The filter package and chamber are arranged such that the liquid is retained temporarily in the filter package for infusion of the beverage medium before permeating and then flowing through the filter package and exiting the brewing chamber near its opposite end as a liquid beverage.

Abstract: A filter bag and method of brewing coffee, tea or the like in a French press. The bag is made of a material penetrable by water, but not by solid particles. The method comprises the steps of: Removing the plunger from the French press, placing the bag into the French press with the opening facing up, placing ground coffee beans, tea leaves or the like in the filter bag and pouring hot liquid into the bag. Then, the plunger is mounted on the French press as in ordinary use, just as the beverage steeps as it normally does. Then, the plunger is pushed down, emptying the filter bag of liquid and leaving the filter bag at the bottom of the French press. By means of the method it is achieved that smaller particles can be filtered out than is possible with the prior art French press, meaning that there are fewer grounds in the beverage. Also, the coffee grounds or tea leaves are contained in a way that allows for their quick and easy disposal, which makes it easier to clean the French press after use.

Abstract: The easy-to-use tea bag is tubular and pliable, easily fits into a standard small mouth bottle and has two ends, a tubular body, two closures and an inner cavity. The tubular body is formed between the ends. The closures are formed respectively at the ends, and each closure has a strength part. The inner cavity is formed between the two ends and holds tealeaves or other material for steeping. The easy-to-use tea bag being tubular and pliable makes inserting and removing the easy-to-use tea bag into and from a bottle easy.

Abstract: The invention is a beverage device having a beverage pack, such as a bag containing substances to be added to flavor a liquid and a shield. The shield is connected to the pack and encapsulates the pack in the bottom of a cup. The shield has an open orientation which allows beverage pack steeping and a closed orientation. The shield can be made from two portions. A stick can be used to push the shield to the bottom of the cup and orient the shield in its closed orientation.

Abstract: This invention solves the problem of disposal of used coffee membrane filters and wet coffee grounds neatly with decreased probabilities of spilling coffee grounds on the floor, table or dumping them loose in a trash container. Thus, several embodiments provide different ways to close and secure the open top of the filter membrane after insertion of coffee grounds into the filter for making coffee, thereby to provide a closed unit that can be disposed of without spilling the beans. Thus, drawstrings or adhesive tabs may be provided in the rim of the filters for closure, or additional flaps or cover sheets may be attached to the rim of the filter to close the open filter mouth.

Abstract: A disposable coffeemaker filter includes a flexible porous disposable filter bag for use in brewing coffee and a drawstring slidably threaded about a top perimeter edge of the filter bag. The drawstring can be pulled to draw the filter bag from an expanded open condition for brewing coffee to a collapsed closed condition for containing the wet used coffee grounds. The drawstring thereby enables the removal and disposal of the filter bag from the basket of a coffeemaker without spilling the coffee grounds from the filter bag.

Abstract: A device for brewing a beverage into container, such as a cup, which includes an enclosure adapted to fit over the rim of a receiver such as a cup with a space between the bottom of the device and the receiver and where a reservoir is provided to receive granular or particulate material to be used in the brewing process. A removeable water apertured distributor plate is provided to be located above the reservoir with foot members provided to generally center the apertured plate and to provide an annular space around a part of the plate between the edge of the plate and the chamber defined by the enclosure. A filter is provided in the bottom of the reservoir to prevent loss of the particulate material which is being extracted into the receptical.

Abstract: A coffee package has a filter assembly double folded and enveloped air-tight in a wrapper in a vacuous or inert gas atmosphere. The filter assembly includes a generally rectangular support plate made up of an intermediate portion with an opening for pouring hot water therethrough and a pair of support legs connected with opposite sides of the intermediate portion. The support legs are formed with coactive nipping members adjacent to their edges such that, when the support legs are folded upright relative to the intermediate portion, the nipping members are firmly engagable with the upper edge of a receptacle to support the whole assembly in the raised position for use. A sack of filter paper open at one end is filled with a weighed volume of coffee powder and adhered to the back of the support plate to cover the opening in the support plate.

Abstract: An improved infusion bag for preparing an infusion of tea or other infusible substances, comprising a sachet member of liquid-permeable sheet material and a pull string. The pull string is joined at the upper apex of the sachet. At least one ventilative slit is provided below the joint point of the string and the upper apex of the sachet. The sachet can be folded into a generally tetragonal shape. After steeping, and by the action of withdrawing and submerging, the infusible substance swells and sinks to the lower apex of the sachet. The improved infusion bag makes the infusible substance less compacted and overcomes the constraint due to the capillarity of the liquid-permeable sheet material itself and the interface capillarity of the mass of the infusible substance. This gives a higher quantity and higher concentration of infusion liquor.
