Basin For Burning Liquid Fuel Heats Feed Line Section Patents (Class 431/218)
  • Patent number: 6688877
Abstract: A pressure gauge subassembly, a pump subassembly, a lower skirt and cap, and an ignition bowl having an up-pipe are coupled to a fuel tank. A safety cover has a Z-shaped upward projection coupled to the lower skirt. A heat resistant glass chimney is coupled to the lower and upper skirts. A lower skirt is coupled to the glass chimney. A lantern top cap with a mixing chamber is coupled to the upper skirt. A plurality of connecting rods firmly hold and contain the glass chimney between the upper skirt and the lower skirt. A vaporizer has two warming coils and a nipple. A quantity of steel wool is wrapped around a vaporizer shaft. A J-shaped mixing tube having a wire mesh and a baffle plate is coupled to the lantern top cap. A mantel is coupled to the mixing tube. The fuel is a quantity of liquid methanol.

  • Patent number: 6499991
Abstract: A liquid fuel vaporizer includes a combustion chamber in which heat is generated by burning fuel therein, an vaporization chamber in which liquid fuel is vaporized by the heat transferred from the combustion chamber to the vaporization chamber. Both chambers are integrally built in a housing, and liquid fuel is supplied from a single injector to both chambers. Liquid fuel consisting of small particles is supplied to the combustion chamber to improve combustion efficiency. Vaporized fuel in the vaporization chamber is prevented from being ignited and burnt therein by various manners, such as intercepting combustion flame, controlling an air/fuel ratio in a range out of a combustible range, or keeping vaporized fuel temperature at a level lower than its self-igniting temperature.

  • Patent number: 4720257
Abstract: A campstove burner includes a burner box which is located above the burner pan of the burner. The burner rings are positioned between the burner pan and the burner box, and a fuel and air mixture within the burner box flows through the burner rings where it is ignited. Since the burner box is located above the burner pan, liquid fuel within the burner box will flow through the burner rings and will be ignited in the burner pan outside of the burner box. The burner box includes a cylindrical sidewall which surrounds an upwardly extending cylindrical central portion of the burner pan to provide an annular mixing chamber An opening is provided in the cylindrical central portion of the burner pan, and a fuel tube extends into the cylindrical portion of the burner pan and directs fuel flow toward the opening. Fuel and air flow through the opening, and a portion of the fuel and air is deflected by the cylindrical wall of the burner box back through the opening to promote mixing.

  • Patent number: 4302180
Abstract: The burner is provided with a hollow vaporizing body, with a combustion initiating means, with heating means for starting up and with means for applying a method of burning, comprising the distinct and successive three phases:(a) vaporization of the liquid fuel protected from the flame,(b) mixing of the vaporized fuel obtained in phase (a), with a combustion supporter such as air, in a special chamber, protected from the flame,(c) combustion of the mixture obtained from phase (b), in a suitable zone, separate from the vaporizing and mixing zones.

  • Patent number: 4259058
Abstract: A burner apparatus is specially designed for vaporized fuels such as alcohol vapor for use by campers, aboard small boats, in vans, and the like. Extremely efficient combustion is achieved by an annular air/fuel mixer plate with a plurality of circular openings facing upwardly positioned above an annular vapor generator member having an annular cavity with fuel outlet ports passing through the top wall of the cavity in positions spaced vertically below and in axial alignment with the circular openings in the air/fuel mixer plate, respectively. A liquid fuel line communicates with the interior portion of the cavity for introducing liquid fuel therein and once combustion has started, the fuel is vaporized to pass out the fuel openings.
