  • Patent number: 11955145
Abstract: Video output is synchronized to the actions of a user by determining positions of the user's body based on acquired video of the user. The positions of the user's body are compared to the positions of a body shown in the video output to determine corresponding positions in the video output. The video output may then be synchronized so that the subsequent output that is shown corresponds to the subsequent position attempted by the user. The rate of movement of the user may be used to determine output characteristics for the video to cause the body shown in the video output to appear to move at a similar rate to that of the user. If the user moves at a rate less than a threshold or performs an activity erroneously, the video output may be slowed or portions of the video output may be repeated.

  • Patent number: 10888735
Abstract: A player calibrates the initial position and orientation of trajectory using their natural sports motion from a well-defined starting point. For example, a batter with mature swing mechanics maintains approximately the same bat orientation and position (“load configuration”) at the beginning of their swing. This load configuration is unique to that player and unlike that of other players and may represent the start of a swing (or other motion of interest) or may occur at any characteristic point in time during the motion. Subsequent motion data within the spatial frame can be accurately analyzed so that three-dimensional trajectory of the equipment or body segment can be precisely determined and presented in an animated playing environment on devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops.

The motion learning support apparatus includes: motion detection unit to detect a motion of the learner and a motion information acquisition unit; an evaluation unit to evaluate similarity of a motion of the learner to a motion in the teaching-aid video segment; and first learning support processing unit to, when the evaluation unit evaluates that the motions are similar, switch the monitor from video taken with the imaging unit to a following teaching-aid video segment. Thereby, vividness of an image due to the illusion effect induced to the learner can be improved, and so the learning effect can be improved for supporting.

Abstract: A basketball shooting training device includes a main frame, a first vertical rail structure having vertical and oblique rail portions, a first sliding base, and a first basketball imitation member. The first vertical rail structure is disposed on the main frame. The first sliding base is slidably disposed on the first vertical rail structure for sliding along the first vertical rail structure. The first basketball imitation member is connected to the first sliding base. When the first basketball imitation member is propped and then propelled upwardly by a user's hand, the first sliding base slides from a first initial position on the vertical rail portion to a shooting position on the oblique rail portion for guiding the user's hand to complete a set shot along the first vertical rail structure.
