  • Patent number: 7077675
Abstract: In a ZIF connector having first and second connectors, the first connector includes an operating member rotatably held by a first insulator portion holding first contacts arranged adjacent to one another in a predetermined direction. The second connector includes a floating member held by a second insulator portion to be rotatable and slidable in the predetermined direction. The floating member has a first and a second surface which face the first contacts and the operating member, respectively, in a mutually fitted state of the first and the second connectors. Second contacts have one parts held by the first surface and arranged adjacent to one another in the predetermined direction. The floating member is rotated in a first rotating direction to bring the second contacts into contact with the first contacts when the operating member is rotated in the mutually fitted state.

  • Patent number: 6924241
Abstract: A method for producing an ultraviolet light (UV) transmissive silicon nitride layer in a plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) reactor is presented. The UV transmissive film is produced by reducing, in comparison to a standard silicon nitride process, a flow rate of the silane and ammonia gas precursors to the PECVD reactor, and significantly increasing a flow rate of nitrogen gas to the reactor. The process reduces the concentration of Si—H bonds in the silicon nitride film to provide UV transmissivity. Further, the amount of nitrogen in the film is greater than in a standard PECVD silicon nitride film, and as a percentage constitutes a greater part of the film than silicon. The film has excellent step coverage and a low number of pinhole defects. The film may be used as a passivation layer in a UV erasable memory integrated circuit.

  • Patent number: 6186831
Abstract: The present invention relates to a link bar for capacitors of an audio system, comprising a conducting portion and a connecting portion for connecting electrical poles of the capacitors together. The connecting portion stretches between the conducting portion. The link bar can be connected with another link bar by overlapping the connecting portions which will have the same height as the conducting portion after overlapping. In using the link bar, the desired number of capacitors are chosen and the link bars are assembled by mutually contacting the connecting portions. The maker can use one single link bar to connect capacitors instead of several kinds with various specifications of link bars.

  • Patent number: 5906514
Abstract: A removable automotive fuse block assembly for mounting to an automobile and disabling vital automotive electrical systems, comprising a fixed fuse block casement which is mounted to the automobile in a permanent fashion. A removable fuse block segment engages the fixed fuse block casement, both the fixed fuse block casement and removable fuse block segment having receptacles with electrical fuses contained therein which are in electrical communication with various automobile system circuits. The assembly is configured so that when the removable fuse block segment is disengaged from the fixed fuse block casement, vital automobile system circuitry is broken, and the automobile rendered inoperable. It is envisioned that an operator of the automobile, upon exiting, will disengage the removable fuse block segment and carry it with him, thus leaving the automobile in a non-functional state.
