  • Patent number: 11305206
Abstract: A toy comprises a resiliently deformable member, a first contactor defining a first contacting surface, and a second contactor defining a second contacting surface. At least one of the first and second contactors defines a concave surface. The resiliently deformable member supports the first and second contactors for movement along a main axis between an engaged configuration in which the first contacting surface is contact with the second contacting surface and a disengaged configuration in which the first contacting surface is disengaged from the second contacting surface. The resiliently deformable member biases the first and second contactors in opposite directions along the main axis. Application of force to displace the first and second contactors along the main axis creates a sound when the first and second contactors are disengaged from each other.

Abstract: A motorized toy vehicle or Wall Racer that is capable of operating on vertical and inverted horizontal surfaces such as walls and ceilings, while being manufacturable at reasonable cost and operable on batteries having sufficient lifetime as to be enjoyable. One or more battery-powered fans draw air from around all or defined portions of the periphery of the chassis of the Wall Racer through a carefully-shaped duct, so that the air in the portion of the duct immediately adjacent the surface flows at high velocity and low pressure; the relatively greater pressure of the surrounding air urges the vehicle against the surface, allowing it to operate on vertical surfaces, such as walls, or inverted on horizontal surfaces, such as ceilings.

  • Patent number: 6589093
Abstract: The invention provides a resilient, moulded figure, intended for fun and/or decoration, which can be temporarily stuck, by means of a sucker, to flat surfaces such as window panes, refrigerator doors, bathroom tiles, children's blackboards, etc., and aims to address particularly, with children's safety in mind, the security with which the sucker is attached to the figure. Utilising moulding techniques requiring the sequential application of resilient plastics material to a mould, front and rear-facing surfaces of the figure are formed, and the rear-facing surface is attached adhesively to a tubular sleeve of resilient material which has a portion dimensioned to closely surround a relatively narrow neck portion disposed between the active area of a sucker and a bulbous end portion of the sucker, which end portion is accommodated by another portion of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 6036572
Abstract: An electrically-powered device incorporated in a toy comprising a motor-driven mechanism and a pair of robotic-limbs each with a resilient sucker to emulate human walking motion on vertical wall or on ceiling, providing the surface is virtually smooth and leveled. The motor and gear assembly is housed in the gearbox while a gear-engaged shaft adjoins a pair of driving wheels, which output the force to a pair of geneva wheels. The geneva wheels that are coupled with the limbs rotate in varied velocity as long as the driving studs of the driving wheel dwells. A lever is disposed in the limb and is actuated by the driven wheel to lift up the sucker that is located at the bottom of the limb, whenever the limb is designated to leave the surface. The pair of driving wheels are properly orientated while one of the geneva wheels is arranged at 180 degree out of phase to its counterpart to ensure either one of the limbs clinched firmly onto the surface.
