  • Patent number: 11997582
Abstract: An access point that determines communication boundaries is described. During operation, the access point may receive one or more probe requests associated with the one or more electronic devices, where a given probe request may include an identifier of a given electronic device. Moreover, when the access point receives the given probe request, the access point may determine a signal strength associated with the given probe request and timestamps when the given probe request was received. Then, the access point may exchange probe-request information with one or more additional access points, where the probe-request information corresponds to received probe requests. Next, the access point may compare the probe-request information to determine the communication boundaries. For example, the communication boundaries may be determined by comparing the probe-request information for pairs of access points.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for reducing control signaling in uplink transmissions. A device, such as a wireless transmit/receive unit, may determine to use a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) transmission schedule out of a plurality of DM-RS transmission schedules. The DM-RS transmission schedule may be characterized by a DM-RS transmission being mapped to a single orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol per subframe of a data stream. The DM-RS transmission schedule may be characterized by a DM-RS transmission being mapped to a first subset of subcarriers of an OFDM symbol of a subframe of a data stream and Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission or Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) control information being mapped to a second set of subcarriers of the OFDM symbol. The first set of subcarriers may be different than the second set of subcarriers. The data stream may be transmitted according to the DM-RS transmission schedule.

  • Patent number: 11924778
Abstract: Systems and methods may optimize power consumption for RAN devices. A device obtains field data of user equipment (UE) devices for a group of cells during a time interval. The field data includes signal strength measurements. The device computes cell boundaries for each cell based on the field data and predicts signal strength values inside each of the cell boundaries for a future time period. The device computes a cumulative overlap feature and a weighted signal strength feature for each cell of the group of cells during the future time period and generates an energy consumption predictive model that applies the cumulative overlap feature and the weighted signal strength feature for the future time period. The device determines, based on the energy consumption predictive model, optimal cell boundaries that correspond to a reduced energy consumption needed to meet service requirements during the future time period.

  • Patent number: 11917420
Abstract: An enhanced network environment is provided by provisioning a device to utilize the 6 GHz frequency band. The device requires provisioning so as not to interfere with legacy systems. The provisioning requires that the two-dimensional location of the device be obtained and sent to a topographical mapping network resource to obtain an accurate ground location for the terrain. The elevation is then modified based on an actual height from ground level of the device. The location of the device can then be sent to an automated frequency controller (AFC) resource to obtain an equivalent isotropically radiated power mask that can be used to provision the device so that the device can operate in the 6 GHz frequency band without causing interference with any other systems. Once provisioned, the device can be registered with the AFC resource.

  • Patent number: 11909124
Abstract: An electronic device having multiple antenna groups for data communication may determine a temperature of a first antenna group and determine a power gain of a second antenna group. The electronic device may communicate using the second antenna group in response to determining that the temperature of the first antenna group exceeds a temperature threshold and the power gain of the second antenna group exceeds a gain threshold. In some embodiments, the electronic device may receive communication link preferences, determine an antenna group that is disposed outside of thermal hotspots of the electronic device, and determine a beam that enables the communication link preferences via the antenna group. The electronic device may then transmit or receive data via the antenna group by forming the beam.

Abstract: An enhanced network environment is provided by provisioning a device to utilize the 6 GHz frequency band. The device requires provisioning so as not to interfere with legacy systems. The provisioning includes obtaining exterior multiple fixed power measurements to obtain a virtualized location and a virtualized power level. The elevation is then modified based on an actual height from ground level of the device. The location of the device and a virtualized equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) can then be sent to an automated frequency controller (AFC) resource to obtain an EIRP mask that can be used to provision the device so that the device can operate in the 6 GHz frequency band without causing interference with any other systems. • Patent number: 11901871
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a semiconductor device includes the following configuration. A detection circuit detects a state of a clock signal. An amplification circuit changes a gain based on the state of the clock signal detected by the detection circuit. An amplification circuit amplifies a first voltage with the gain and outputs a second voltage obtained as a result of amplification. A conversion circuit converts the second voltage output from the amplification circuit to first data. An isolation circuit includes a driver and a receiver electrically isolated from the driver. The driver transmits a signal corresponding to the first data to the receiver. The receiver outputs second data corresponding to the signal transmitted from the driver. The output circuit outputs the second data output from the isolation circuit.

Abstract: The present technology is directed to providing fault management with dynamic restricted access in a tenant network. The tenant network can be a private 5G cellular network or other wireless communication network. The present technology can identify a fault event within the tenant network based on received telemetry data, associate the fault event with a vendor component included in the tenant network, and generate a vendor fault context. The vendor fault context can be generated to include only the portion of telemetry data that is determined to be related to the fault event or the vendor component. The present technology can further use the vendor fault context to create a time-bound user account for remotely accessing the tenant network for fault triage and management. The time-bound user account can be associated to a static role-based access control (RBAC) scheme configured with access restrictions determined based on the vendor fault context.

Abstract: Methods, media, and systems are provided for carrier aggregation grouping based on user device location. For example, the methods, media, and systems receive one or more Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) beam reports from one or more user devices. Further, a base station divides a coverage area associated with a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) service into carrier aggregation (CA) groups associated with one or more component carriers. Upon receiving or determining the location of the one or more user devices associated with each of the one or more SSB beam reports, the one or more component carriers are assigned to at least one of the CA groups based on the location of the one or more user devices and the SSB beam reports. Furthermore, if interference from a neighboring base station is detected, the one or more component carriers experiencing the interference is grouped differently from the interfering carriers.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for frame based operation and medium contention procedures in wireless networks. In some aspects, devices of a wireless network may perform receiver side contention operations. To illustrate, reference signals from a receiving device may be transmitted to a transmitting device and used by the transmitting device to estimate interference for transmitter side transmissions. Such receiver side reference signals may more accurately reflect the interference profile that transmissions sent by the transmitting device will face, such as when operating in a spectrum shared with many devices. The transmitting device may utilize the beam(s) that satisfy interference criteria when receiving the reference signals to transmit data.
