Members Are Gripping Jaws Actuated During Each Rotation Of Pulley Patents (Class 474/9)
  • Patent number: 10492481
Abstract: A spool for a dual-bearing reel is rotatably disposed in a reel body. The spool includes a bobbin trunk, a first flange and a second flange. The bobbin trunk enables a fishing line to be wound about an outer periphery thereof. Each of the first and second flanges includes an inner wall surface and an outer peripheral surface. The inner wall surface is provided on one end of the bobbin trunk. The outer peripheral surface extends axially outward from a distal end of the inner wall surface. Additionally, the distal end of the inner wall surface of the first flange has a larger outer diameter than the distal end of the inner wall surface of the second flange. The inner wall surface of the first flange and the outer peripheral surface of the first flange are connected through a smooth curved surface.

  • Patent number: 8041488
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a motion transmission value that provides security of motion transmission between two components that transfer motion through frictional engagement. The motion transmission value provides security of motion transmission through the reaction of the motion transmitted to a change in the contact force between the components that are frictionally engaged. The contact force is modulated in a predetermined frequency range during the motion transmission, and the change in the motion transmitted during the modulation of the contact force is detected. The change in the motion transmitted is evaluated using a filtering process, and the motion transmission value is determined as the result of the evaluation.

  • Patent number: 7867117
Abstract: A clutching mechanism (20) for a cultivating tiller. The tiller has an engine (16) mounted on a frame (12) with a rotatable output shaft (40), a rotatable working shaft (22), and a transmission (18) operatively connecting to the working shaft, the transmission having a rotatable transmission shaft (42) coaxially aligned with the output shaft of the engine. The clutching mechanism includes an upper half pulley (52) attached to the output shaft, and a lower half pulley (54) attached to the transmission shaft, wherein the upper half pulley and lower half pulley are coaxially positioned in a facing but non-contacting relationship such that the upper half pulley is able to freely rotate with respect to the lower half pulley. The clutching mechanism also includes a belt (62) positioned between the upper half pulley and the lower half pulley, and a tensioning assembly (70) configured to selectively tension the belt so that the belt transmits rotation of the upper half pulley to the lower half pulley.

  • Patent number: 4516960
Abstract: A variable speed chain drive includes a driven pulley which supports radially adjustable drivers, the drivers defining a wedge-shaped opening in which the chain is received and frictionally captured. The drivers, which may include cooperating clamp and drive members mounted from the disks which define the pulley, are positioned by an adjusting mechanism.

  • Patent number: RE31050
Abstract: .[.The invention pertains to a hoisting device, characterized by the fact that it mainly consists of a housing to which the load is suspended, and in this housing a driving pulley consisting of two half pulleys for the cable, which is suspended from a fixed point, whereby this driving pulley is provided with means which press the cable uniformly or practically uniformly into the driving pulley over a large arc, and with means which press aforesaid half pulleys away from each other at the locations where the cable enters and leaves the pulley, in such a manner that no friction occurs when the cable enters or leaves the driving pulley, whereby this pressing apart is performed in such a manner that no or practically no increase of pressure occurs on the cable on the other side of the pulley..]..Iadd.
