It allows for a hammock to be suspended in the bed of a pickup truck approximately 6 feet above ground level. Further, the sidearm extensions have a narrow and wide side such that when the frame is folded for storage the narrow extension nestles inside the wide extension. The extensions are rotatably attachable to the central crossbeam assembly via sidearm receivers and generally L-shaped sidearm guides. The extensions may be easily attached or detached from the sidearm guides by inserting or removing a hinge pin. Moving the frame can be made easier by attaching axles and wheels to the folded frame.

The adult will place straps around the neck and/or shoulders, and place the infant in the hammock. The hammock has semi-permeable walls so that (while showering) the water will easily flow out of the hammock. In addition, the hammock is designed so that the baby's face is a close distance (approximately one foot) from the adult's face. The hammock is easy to wear. The opposed edges of each notch taper inwardly from the end towards an apex. The opposed edges of each notch are attached by a seam to form the bed from the blank. Cross-braces proximal the ends of the hammock are connected to the side edges of the hammock at connection points opposed across the bed from one side edge to the opposite side edge. The fabric hangs underneath the cross-braces so that an occupant may rest level on the bed fully under the cross-braces. The hammock is suspended between upright structures, such as trees or posts, using a special connection involving a cargo hook having a hook portion and a ring portion.
