  • Patent number: 7605410
Abstract: The invention provides a novel memory for which process technology is relatively simple and which can store multivalued information by a small number of elements. A part of a shape of the first electrode in the first storage element is made different from a shape of the first electrode in the second storage element, and thereby voltage values which change electric resistance between the first electrode and the second electrode are varied, so that one memory cell stores multivalued information over one bit. By partially processing the first electrode, storage capacity per unit area can be increased.

  • Patent number: 6606847
Abstract: A method of spinning-in yarn on an operating unit of a rotor spinning machine includes steps of yarn preparation for spinning-in, steps of spinning rotor preparation for spinning-in, and final spinning-in steps. The final spinning-in steps include at least the beginning of the sliver supply to the singling-out device, leading of the fibers from the singling-out device away from the spinning rotor for a predetermined time interval, letting the spinning-in yarn end get into contact with the collecting groove of the spinning rotor, and starting of the yarn draw-off and winding. At least some final spinning-in steps are time synchronized in relation to the closing of the spinning unit thus obtaining optimum piecer quality repeatedly at all operating units of the machine.

  • Patent number: 6085511
Abstract: An underwinding thread clamp for a spindle of a ring spinning or ring-twisting machine has a clamping sleeve biased by a spring against and juxtaposed with a collar on the spindle. The juxtaposed surfaces of the spindle and collar have wavy contours so that, upon engagement of an actuating member with each collar, the latter is cammed into its open position to release the respective underwinding thread so that the latter, engaged when a full bobbin was removed, can be released. The clamping of the underwinding thread permits the thread to be wound on the newly mounted core sleeve.

  • Patent number: 6082088
Abstract: A cleaner for a roving apparatus which is free from an adverse effect caused by air flow blowing along an upper surface of a roller beam rearward of the roller beam, and which, after the fibers scraped from the bottom clearer cloth are collected to the rear of the roller beam, conveys the fibers to the end of an apparatus frame. The fibers, etc., adhered to the bottom clearer cloth are scraped by a scraper to fall onto a roller beam 1. The fallen fibers, etc., and the fiber waste which tends to be accumulated onto the upper surface of the roller beam are guided to a guide rail 25 by the action of air flow blowing from an air-blowing tube, to thereby accumulate on a bottom part 25a of the guide rail 25. The fibers, etc., are conveyed to the end of the guide rail 25 by a scraper 41 moving along the guide rail 25, and then collected in a dust box provided at the end of the apparatus frame. The bottom part 25a of the guide rail 25 is located lower than the upper surface of the roller beam 1.

  • Patent number: 4775421
Abstract: Strand lap-ups may be removed from textile rolls by using the present method and apparatus while the textile rolls remain in position on the textile machine or by initially removing a roll with a lap-up thereon from the textile machine before shearing and severing the lap-up and replacing the removed roll with another roll free of any lap-ups. • Patent number: 4543778
Abstract: The spindle assembly is of the type having a spool upon which coils of strand material are formed preparatory to doffing of a strand package from the assembly. The coils are formed without overlapping them upon one another, and preferably without permitting their transverse engagement and possible mutual attachment. First and second oppositely directed helical grooves are respectively provided upon upper and lower portions of the spool. • Patent number: 4532759
Abstract: On textile machines, on which packages are wound with a set or reference yarn length, the changing of these packages by means of a travelling package changing device should be carried out in such time optimized manner that the largest possible number of winding positions can be serviced by the package changing device. For this purpose, the yarn length of packages to be wound is signalled continuously to a computer by means of yarn length measuring units and the location of a package changer is continuously signalled to the computer by means of positioning units. If certain packages reach a remainder or residual yarn length before reaching the set yarn length, then the wind-up times for the remainder yarn length of these packages are compared by the computer with the respective travelling times of a package changer to these packages and registered in an optimization procedure, for example for three of these packages.
