Abstract: A multi-tool holding apparatus includes a first portion having a plurality of sides which define a circular channel that is able to be releasably secured around a fire hook. This release-ability is enabled by an opening on one side of this plurality of sides that is able to be screwed together, allowing for the circular channel defined to frictionally encompass the fire hook. This multi-tool holding apparatus also has a second portion having a neck coupled by a securing member, that forms a T-shaped component enabling secured frictional placement of a Halligan tool.

Abstract: A stomper for a food grinder comprises a distal end adapted to push food into a receiving tube of a food grinder, a proximal handle end adapted for a user to grasp the stomper while pushing food into the receiving tube of the food grinder, an elongated shaft between the distal end and the proximal handle end, a channel defined in the proximal handle end, and a bayonet projecting from one or more internal walls of the channel. The bayonet is adapted to engage a protrusion on an auger of the food grinder to apply a pulling force to remove the auger from the food grinder.

Abstract: A multi-purpose paint can tool for removing a paint can lid, creating paint drainage holes within the rim of the paint can, and tamping the paint can lid closed when finished painting. The multi-purpose paint can tool of the present invention generally comprises a piston shaft that is axially movable within a tubular housing. The tubular housing may comprise a can lid opening implement on its distal end. Thereafter, axial movement of the piston shaft by user interaction with a gripping knob and lid tamping implement on the distal end of the piston shaft allows at least one piercing spike at the distal end of the piston shaft to penetrate the lower rim portion of a conventional paint can. The gripping knob and lid tamping implement may then be used to tamp the lid back onto the paint can when the painting project is completed.

Abstract: The present invention is an attachment device that can be placed upon a tool, preferably a cable cutting tool, which replaces a hammer in an electrician's tool supply or eliminating the need for an electrician to carry a hammer around a job site. The attachable hammer head is made from a solid piece of metal in which there is flat hammer head with a set of flanges on the opposite side of the hammer head in which there is a channel between the flanges and one or more threaded holes within the flanges. Abstract: A roofing hatchet having a magnetic striking face is hereby disclosed. A unique shouldered cap housing the magnet dampens the forces transferred from the striking by transferring the force directly to the hatchet head, bypassing the magnet, thereby preventing demagnetization typically caused by such repeated linear forces. Additional features include a cutting blade housing adapted to adjustably receive a variety of different commercially available utility knife blades, an adjustable gauge for gauging a distance from the bitted end of the hatchet, and a pulling notch for pulling fasteners from a surface. Unlike prior art hatchets, the handle of the inventive hatchet is angled, relative to the striking face, such that the force transfer from the hand of a user to a fastener being driven into a sloping surface is optimized.

In another form, the detection circuit detects a failure of electrical service within a building, with safety tools for escaping a fire being provided.

The distal jaw is operated like a standard hand tool with compression of the handle causing the jaw to close, and vice-versa. The distal jaw has an elliptical surface so that with the distal jaw resting on a work surface and closed about a nail protruding from the work surface, and with the handle laying adjacent the work surface, raising the handle away from the work surface in an arc, causes the nail to be pulled from the work surface at an ever increasing rate. Axially oriented jaw teeth provide improved gripping and a pair of tongue and groove opposing surfaces enable cutting and further improved gripping. A hammer surface enables driving of a nail into the work surface rather than pulling it out, and a claw element enables pulling a nail head up so as to be better gripped by the tool.

The head has two oppositely directed faces which are alternately used. One face is similar to that of a conventional hammer that is used to deliver impact blows to drive a stake into the ground. The other face has a central groove that is sized to slip over and engage a stake in such a way that leverage applied to the handle (in a transverse diction) will sate the stake enough as to cause it to be broken away from a Landscape Edging Strip of the type shown in U.S. Pat. A cover lid is received in the lid-receiving chamber, and is pivoted to a chamber-confining wall portion of the second side face, and covers the lid-receiving chamber and the socket-receiving chamber.
