  • Patent number: 11831529
Abstract: Systems and methods to send or receive redundant Generic Object Oriented Substation Event (GOOSE) messages are described. An intelligent electronic device may obtain power system data from a power system. The IED may publish the power system data in a first GOOSE message and publish the same power system data in a second GOOSE message. The second GOOSE message may have different header information than the first GOOSE message to allow the subscriber to determine that the redundant GOOSE messages are both received. If the first and second GOOSE message are duplicates with identical header information but unique trailer information methods allow the subscriber to determine that the duplicate GOOSE messages are both received.

Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for determining the number of open phases and which particular phases may be open in capacitor bank system. Detecting open phases may include determining a neutral current of the capacitor bank system. According to one detection method, in response to a magnitude of the neutral current being greater than a threshold value, an IED may calculate an aggregate power phasor for the phases of the capacitor bank system with respect to each rotation. According to another detection method, in response to the magnitude of the neutral current being greater than a threshold value, an IED may calculate an individual power phasor for each of the phases of the capacitor bank system with respect to each rotation. Based on the magnitude and angles of the power phases, the IED may determine the presence of open phases and which particular phases may be open, respectively.

Abstract: A hypervisor preferably provides VM (virtual machine) identification, priority and LUN/LBA range information to the HBA (hoist bus adapter) when a VM is created. Alternatively, the HBA can determine that a LUN/LBA range is new and request VM identity, priority and LUN/LBA range from the hypervisor. The HBA creates a table containing the VM identification, priority and LUN/LBA range. The HBA then detects operations directed to the LUN/LBA range and does a lookup to determine VM identification and priority. VM identification and priority are then mapped into a field in a frame using a unique identifier. The unique identifier can be placed using reserved bits on the existing Fiber Channel (FC) header or can use bits in an additional header, such as a modified IFR header or an optional device header. • Patent number: 10437770
Abstract: A hypervisor preferably provides VM (virtual machine) identification, priority and LUN/LBA range information to the HBA (host bus adapter) when a VM is created. The VM identification aware HBAs register with the NS.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method to monitor application program interface (API) endpoints may include sending, over a network from a computing system, a test structure to an API endpoint. In some embodiments, the test structure may be configured based on the API endpoint. The method may further include receiving a first response over the network at the computing system from the API endpoint in response to sending the test structure and resending, over the network from the computing system, the test structure to the API endpoint. The method may further include receiving a second response at the computing system from the API endpoint in response to resending the test structure and comparing, at the computing system, the first response and the second response. The method may further include determining, at the computing system, a status of the API endpoint based on the comparison of the first response and the second response.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for testing a data connection (e.g., network connection and/or packet-based service connection) and determining a performance condition of the data connection. The data connection may depend on conditions of an access network and/or a local area network. In some embodiments, a local performance test device may be in communication with an access network and/or a local area network. The local performance test device may receive a request to test the access network and/or the local area network. The local performance test device may further be configured to analyze the access network and/or the local area network to determine whether a data connection issue is occurring on the access network and/or the local area network. Once the local performance test device determines where a performance issue is occurring, the local performance test device may send the result of the test to a requesting device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for modifying resources equipped to manage loss events and processing associated therewith based on an analysis of real-time data. An insurance provider can maintain historical data that indicates resources usage data for managing previously-occurring loss events. The insurance provider can receive real-time first-party and third-party loss event data from a variety of sources, the loss event data being associated with a recent or forecasted loss event. The insurance provider can compare the received loss event data to the historical data to determine that resources configured to manage insurance claim processing resulting from the loss event may need to be modified. In embodiments, the resources may be hardware or software resources, a workforce, physical goods or supplies, or other resources. The insurance provider can facilitate the appropriate resource modification by interfacing with various components and entities.

  • Patent number: 10338544
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with Process Control systems including a client IED and a plurality of server IEDs connected to an Ethernet communication network. A protocol analyzer tool connected to the communication network captures messages directed to the client IED and assigns, from a standardized configuration representation of the PC system comprising the logical data flow definitions, a server or source IED to each captured message. A client IED independent way of diagnosing a cause of client overload problems is provided by analyzing statistically the captured messages. Such statistical approach allows identifying any operating server or source IED sending, on average, more messages than during a preceding period or more messages than calculated.

  • Patent number: 10334415
Abstract: A voice user interface (VUI) may be deployed for controlling network components and devices of a telecommunications network. A voice command received at a voice interface device connected to a telecommunications network may be converted into a persistent data representation via a speech interpretation engine. The persistent data representation is sent to an intent mapping service that maps persistent data representations to intermediate command representations. In turn, a command interpreter of the telecommunications network may receive the intermediate command representation from the intent mapping service. The command interpreter may translate the intermediate command representation into an action command for performing a task with respect to network components or devices of the telecommunications network. The action command may be executed via a controller interface of the telecommunications network with respect to the network components or the devices of the telecommunication network.
