File Cutting Patents (Class 76/12)
  • Patent number: 10706674
Abstract: A method of operating an electronic gaming machine includes providing a predictive model of an emotional state of a player of the electronic gaming machine, obtaining biometric data associated with the player, and analyzing the biometric data to detect an emotional state of the player. The method detects occurrence of a game play event of the electronic device, generates a predicted emotional state of the player as a result of the occurrence of the game play event, and modifies an aspect of a game play experience of the electronic gaming machine based on the predicted emotional state of the player in response to the game play event.

  • Patent number: 8863619
Abstract: Described herein are methods for training a machine learning-based predictor of affective response to stimuli. The methods involve receiving samples comprising temporal windows of token instances to which a user was exposed, and target values representing affective response annotations of the user in response to the temporal windows of token instances. This data is used for the training of the predictor along with values indicative of the number of the token instances in the temporal windows of token instances, which are used to compensate for non-linear effects resulting from saturation of the user.

  • Patent number: 8789444
Abstract: A method of producing an endodontic file that involves grinding in a plane substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of a rotating dental instrument blank. By grinding the dental instrument blank in this manner, the torsional strength of the resulting endodontic file is not eroded during its production, thereby providing a file that is less susceptible to breakage during its use.

  • Patent number: 4067701
Abstract: A grinding machine particularly for grinding the teeth on a carbide cutter. The machine includes a carriage swingably mounted on a frame for oscillation about a pivot axis. The carriage has a grinding wheel mounted thereon and rotatably driven by a motor which is also mounted on the carriage. The wheel is rotatable about an axis which is approximately parallel to but spaced from the pivot axis. A feeding mechanism projects outwardly from the front face of the grinding wheel at an angle of approximately 45.degree. relative to the rotational axis. The feeding mechanism releasably supports a carbide element. The feeding mechanism is linearly advanced toward the grinding wheel in an intermittent steplike movement which is synchronized with the oscillating movement of the carriage so that the grinding wheel cuts a groove across the carbide element during both the forward and return swings of the carriage.
