Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to obtain a highly coercive R-T-B system sintered magnet by making the crystal microstructure of a raw material alloy prepared by strip casting more uniform, thereby making the crushed powder obtained from such raw material alloy more fine and making the size distribution more narrow. The present invention provides a raw material alloy for an R-T-B system sintered magnet containing grains of an R2T14B compound, wherein a P and/or S content is between 100 and 950 ppm. This raw material alloy preferably has a composition comprising 25 to 35% by weight of R, 0.5 to 4% by weight of B, 0.02 to 0.6% of one or both of Al and Cu, 5% by weight or less of Co, and the balance of Fe.
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for connecting medical tubing or any other type of fluidic circuit conduits (e.g., cannulae) to a ventricular assist device (“VAD”) or any other pumping device used for blood pumping during cardiac circulatory support for vascular surgery. The apparatus and the method prevent air bubbles from entering a cardiac circulatory support system when connecting cannulae to a VAD that may later enter the blood stream of a patient during cardiac surgery, and also provide for purging any air bubbles that may have entered the cardiac circulatory support system during a cannulae-VAD connection.
Abstract: Techniques for implementing an epilation device are described, including a body including a first half and a second half, the first half having a first arm and the second half comprises a second arm, an axle having a third arm disposed at an end of the axle and a fourth arm disposed at another end of the axle, the axle being coupled to a first set of teeth, and a trigger coupled to a spring, the trigger being substantially housed within the body and being partially exposed through an aperture in the body, the trigger further including a second set of teeth configured to engage the first set of teeth.

Abstract: A frame structure for use in goggles is disclosed. The frame structure comprises a main body, which comprises a hard portion and a soft portion. The hard portion is a rigid body, while the soft portion is an elastomer. The soft and the hard portions are molded integrally, wherein the integrally molded portions define at least one receiving space and is adapted to receive at least one lens.
