Abstract: A valve train control device, for use in a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine having a camshaft with a primary cam lobe, is provided herein and generally includes a primary cam follower positioned in an operational path between the primary cam lobe and a corresponding valve with the primary cam follower being constructed to follow the primary cam lobe while an auxiliary motion transfer device, responsive to at least one engine parameter, may be coupled to the primary cam follower to shift the primary cam follower relative to the primary cam lobe during at least a portion of the camshaft rotation to alter one or more valve operating parameters relative to a set of valve parameters defined by the primary cam lobe profile interacting with an unshifted primary cam follower.
Abstract: A system and method for managing search results available from a network resource using a data feed is disclosed herein as incorporating a processor programmed to retrieve user unsorted search results matching search terms provided by a user, transmit the search results along with a user selectable sorting identifier over the network for display on a graphical user interface and further programmed to sort each search result according to the user selected sorting identifier, update the sorting status of each search result, and transmit for display on the graphical user interface the search results in accordance with the sorting status and the user selected sorting identifier.
Abstract: A portable fluid dispenser for transporting and optionally filtering a stored quantity of fluid as it is expelled from the dispenser is provided herein as having a dispenser body with a port and an aperture in communication with a fluid storage chamber with the aperture being disposed in a substantially rigid region of the dispenser body and at least partially covered by a depressable region that may be depressed to at least partially reduce the volume in the fluid storage chamber to force fluid stored in the fluid storage chamber out the port.
Abstract: A system and method for assessing one or more job applicants responding to a job posting with the system disclosed herein as incorporating at least one processor coupled to a memory and in communication with a network interface for retrieving digital footprints, images, or profiles as they may relate to an applicant, wherein the processor may be programmed to invite a job applicant to submit a first digital profile having one or more links relating to the applicant and generate an independent digital profile having one or more links relating to the applicant to determine whether there are any discrepancies between the first digital profile and the independent digital profile, and, in response to a discrepancy determination, issue a notice to the job applicant associated with the first digital profile requesting an explanation regarding the discrepancy.
Abstract: A device for use in a system or method of collecting and processing aspirated tissue received from a harvesting device is provided by a canister body having a vacuum port and an evacuation port operable to be placed in communication with a vacuum source, a tissue harvesting port for directing tissue into the canister body received from the harvesting device under suction, and a separator element dividing the canister body into an upper vacuum chamber in communication with the vacuum port and the tissue harvesting port and a lower vacuum chamber in communication with the evacuation port, the separator element including a plurality of apertures enabling fluid to pass between the chambers while restricting tissue from doing the same and a depression with a channel leading to a tissue retrieval port to facilitate processed tissue collection.

Abstract: A reinforced skateboard deck adapted to connect to a set of trucks and wheels to form a skateboard for riding with the deck having a reinforced region constructed to resist rupturing of the deck and a protective side barrier constructed to prevent wear of the reinforced region during use.
Abstract: A function generator for a digital system includes a plurality of sub-function generators. Each sub-function generator has an input that receives a respective input value and has an output that provides a respective output value responsive to the respective input value. A case detector receives a system input value and selectively routes at least a first portion of the system input value to the input of at least one selected sub-function generator. The case detector selects the selected sub-function generator in response to at least a second portion of the system input value. The case detector further suppresses transitions of data on the input of at least one non-selected sub-function generator. The case detector further selects the respective output value provided by the at least one selected sub-function generator and provides the selected respective output value as a function generator output value.
Abstract: A device and a mechanism is provided for incorporation of traditional skateboard maneuvers on a miniature level. The device may be a toy fingerboard skateboard that may be utilized to perform common skateboard tricks. The device may have a spring click mechanism that is incorporated into the toy skateboard design whereby the spring may be placed at the tail kick section of the skateboard. The device may allow for pressure to be placed on the spring click portion of the board thereby increasing the traction to the front of the board which in turn allows the skateboard to lift from the surface in which it is placed. The increased traction and pressure on the fingerboard allows for the performance of different skateboarding tricks that are typically not successful with the fingerboard skateboard because of traction and size limitations.
Abstract: A multi-media display system having a base surrounding a portion of and cooperating with an upstanding support tower to provide a mounting system for a number of components including at least one display device, audio output components, alternative display frames, backlighting components, and a pre-selected group of concealment features to provide a multi-media presentation system capable of blending into the environment of the locale in which the system is situated.
Abstract: A skateboard deck is provided with a first lower layer and an upper layer coupled to an upper surface of the first lower layer. The upper layer includes a top surface provided in part by a fiber-reinforced layer and in part a side barrier. The skateboard deck may further include one or more additional lower layers affixed beneath the first lower layer. The fiber-reinforced layer may be inlaid within the side barrier, which may be an outer portion of a wood veneer or thermoplastic sheet. The fiber-reinforced layer may be formed substantially of woven para-aramid fibers encased in an adhesive matrix.
Abstract: An animal habitat and display system for housing and displaying at least one animal while selectively restricting access to the habitat is provided by an enclosure with a viewing window supported on a frame by a support element movable relative to the frame between a first position preventing access to an enclosure access panel and a second position providing access to the access panel with the frame being constructed to urge the access panel from an open position toward a closed position when the support element is moved from the second position toward the first position.
Abstract: A ventilated animal habitat in the form of a frame having at least one shelf supporting an animal enclosure with a ventilation control region including an ambient air inlet and exhaust air outlet and a ducting system also supported by the frame with an exhaust air collection chamber having a mouth abutting the enclosure around the exhaust air outlet to capture exiting habitat air drawn under negative pressure by a remote vacuum source and direct the captured air through a carry way duct while fresh ambient air is introduced into the enclosure.
