The foot interface is pivotally connected at a generally central point by a pivot to the base, the pivot separating and defining a first end and second end of the foot interface, such that depressing the first end directs the trolling motor to steer the watercraft to the right and depressing the second end directs the trolling motor to steer the watercraft to the left.
