Abstract: A rotational control apparatus (10, 10a) for controlling the transmission of rotational forces between first and second relatively rotatable members (26, 120, 120a) includes a piston (76, 76a) interconnected for concurrent axial movement with the second member through a bearing unit (146) which enables relative rotation and concurrent axial shifting of the piston (76, 76a) and the second member (120, 120a). The pistons (76, 76a) is only interconnected to the first member (26) through the use of one or more springs (116) such that at least partial relative rotation between the piston (76, 76a) and the first member (26) is accommodated.
Abstract: A hair grip device has a first decoration clamp device and a second decoration clamp device connected to the first decoration clamp device. The first decoration clamp device has a distal click flange, and two first elastic plates. The second decoration clamp device has a push plate, a click portion, and two second elastic plates. The distal click flange of the first decoration clamp device engages with the click portion of the second decoration clamp device. The click portion of the second decoration clamp device has a plurality of grooves. Each of the second elastic plates has a hook end portion.
Abstract: An eyeglasses temple angle adjusting device includes an angle adjusting member connected between an end of a frame and an inner end of a temple. The angle adjusting member is provided with two second vertical concave toothed sections and each end of the frame is provided with two ears formed divided by an intermediate opening. The two ears are provided with first two convex toothed sections to engage the second two concave toothed sections. The angle adjusting member further has an engage member at a side to fit in an engage hole formed in a wall defining the intermediate opening, and a front horizontal movable section to fit movably in the intermediate opening so that the angle adjusting member may be moved up and down by engagement of the first and the second toothed sections, permitting the temple to move up and down in its angle to the frame.
Abstract: A hand tool includes a handle with a tool attached thereto. The handle includes a compartment defined by a bottom wall and two side walls. A press block includes two ends in guided sliding engagement with the side walls to thereby allow the press block to be slidable relative to the side walls of the handle upon manual operation on the press block. A first wire stripping member is provided on the bottom wall of the compartment and includes a number of first notches of different curvatures. A second wire stripping member is provided on the press block and includes a number of second notches of different curvatures for stripping insulation from electrical wires of different gauges when the first notches and the second notches come together in a closed state as a result of manual operation on the press block.
Abstract: A distillator has an outer casing, a boiling device disposed in the outer casing, a hot water box disposed in the outer casing, a cold water box disposed in the outer casing, a first faucet disposed on the hot water box, a second faucet disposed on the cold water box, a first vapor pipe connected to the boiling device and the hot water box, a second vapor pipe connected to the hot water box and the cold water box, a water pipe connected to the boiling device and the cold water box and passing through the hot water box, the water pipe inserted in the first vapor pipe and the second vapor pipe, a heating device disposed on the boiling device, and a heater disposed on the hot water box. A connection is disposed on an end of the water pipe and passes through the cold water box.
Abstract: Apparatus (14, 14a) for treating liquids flowing through a pipe (10, 10a) is formed by clamping magnet units (16) of the desired number to the pipe (10, 10a). The magnet units (16) are formed by permanent magnet structures (20) held in a plastic casing (18) by a potting compound (36). The permanent magnet structure (20) includes two pairs of permanent magnets (24, 26, 28, 30) having first surfaces (24N, 26N, 28S, 30S) projecting beyond the potting compound (36) and the open side (18d) of the casing (18) and second surfaces (24S, 26S, 28N, 30N) directly abutting with the upper surface of a ferromagnetic strip (22) providing a flux path between the second surfaces (24S, 26S, 28N, 30N) of the permanent magnets (24, 26, 28, 30). The magnet units (16) are clamped so that the first surfaces (24N, 26N, 28S, 30S) of the permanent magnets (24, 26, 28, 30) directly bear against the outside of the pipe (10, 10a).
Abstract: A pump includes a main body, a piston slidably received in the main body, and a hose having a first end attached to an end of the main body and a second end attached to the piston. A handle is attached to a piston rod, which, in turn, is attached to the piston. Air is outputted to a main passage via the hose during an outward stroke. Air is outputted to the main passage via a hole defined in the end of the main body during an inward stroke.
Abstract: A bicycle wheel rim is composed of a friction surface extending along the rim. The friction surface is provided with a plurality of action units each having a primary action area and a secondary action area and a secondary action area. The primary action area has a flat surface capable of frictional engagement with the brake shoes of a bicycle brake system. The secondary action area has a concave surface capable of frictional engagement with the brake shoes of the bicycle brake system. The action units of the bicycle wheel rim are thus capable of cooperating with the brake shoes to bring about a smooth and stable braking action for slowing or stopping the bicycle wheel in motion.
Abstract: A crossbar device includes an outer tube with an inner tube retractably received in the outer tube. An adjusting device is connected to the outer tube and has two pawl members pivotally connected therein which has a connecting member connected therebetween. The connecting member is actuated by an actuating member which is movably connected to the adjusting device. The adjusting device has a handle to which the two pawl members are pivotably connected thereto and the two pawl members are disengagably engaged with the inner tube. A pin is connected to the handle and located below one of the pawl members so that when pulling the actuating member to release the connecting member, and pushing the handle, the pawl members are pivoted and disengaged from the inner tube so that the inner tube is freely moved corresponding to the outer tube. The pin prevents the lower pawl member from engaging with the inner tube by gravity.
Abstract: An adjustable armrest assembly includes an armrest main body having a compartment therein. A positioning member has an end slidably received in the compartment. The end of the positioning member includes a vertical slot consisting of a number of consecutively connected vertical retaining holes. Two adjacent retaining holes have a reduced neck portion therebetween. A locking member has a relatively larger section and a relatively smaller section. The relatively larger section of the locking member is normally biased to engage with one of the retaining holes. When an operative member integral with the locking member is manually operated, the relatively larger section of the locking member is disengaged from the retaining hole, and the relatively smaller section is moved to engage with the vertical slot.
