Abstract: The centering adaptor is configured to receive a spade type drill bit. The body of the adaptor has three centering arms to engage in a previously drilled smaller hole so that the spade type drill bit is guided along the same centerline to re-drill the hole to a larger diameter.
Abstract: The body of the fisheye device is sized to be supported around the fisherman's neck and rest against his chest. The body carries a convex lens, a spinner hook for engaging and holding a fishing hook with the eye free. A visual panel is in the line-of-sight beyond the spinner hook and carries a surface which is visually appropriate to aid in tying the line through the eye of the fishing hook.
Abstract: The tap driver is configured to be hand-held. It has a tap-holding chuck and a motor to drive the chuck. An external switch rocks forward to rotate the motor in the tapping direction and backward to withdraw the tap. A control circuit causes forward motion of the tap for a predetermined time for the tap to make about one forward turn for tapping. At the end of that time, the motor reverses and rotates the tap outward a fractional turn to break the chips made during tapping. The timer then turns the circuit to drive the motor in the forward direction for another tapping. This action repeats until tapping is complete and the switch is rocked back to reverse the motor to withdraw the tap.
Abstract: The body of the shock absorber is made of lightweight flexible resilient tubular polymer material which will not cause injury when struck by it. The body has a stop in each end and two compression springs within the tubular body between the stops. Tension cables are attached to the compression springs and do not pneumatically engage within the tubular polymer body and extend out of the body and respectively carry a snap hook for attachment to a dog collar and a ring for attachment to a dog leash. Pull on the tension members causes compression of the springs to reduce shock-loading on the dog walker. After the springs are pulled solid, the resiliency of the body continues to absorb shock.
Abstract: The guitar pick is formed of flexible sheet material and has a central opening therein, which is slotted open. The guitar pick is formed of flexible synthetic material and has a pick point for picking the guitar strings. The body of the guitar pick is sufficiently large to hold between the thumb and forefingers for its manipulation. The body has a central opening which is slotted away from the pick point. The central opening and the slot, together with the flexibility of the pick is sufficient to permit it to be snapped onto and off of pegs and posts on the guitar for storage and retrieval.
Abstract: The pulmonary oxygen flow control system delivers oxygen from a source of pressure to a nasal cannula worn by the patient. Between the source and the nasal cannula is a pendant flow structure which includes an orifice followed by a gas dynamic valve. When the downstream pressure in the cannula is high, the gas dynamic valve diverts the oxygen flow through the orifice to a flexible reservoir. Upon inhalation, the pressure at the cannula falls so that the gas dynamic valve delivers the orifice flow to the cannula and also utilizes a Venturi effect to withdraw oxygen from the reservoir and deliver it to the cannula. The cannula has nasal tubes which have angular faces and which are positioned farther into the nares to deliver the oxygen more efficiently.
Abstract: The fruit refrigerator has a cold plate which is cooled by a thermal electric unit secured underneath. Power is supplied to the thermal electric unit and to a cooling fan which blows air over the thermal electric unit. The cold plate has a depressed center, and liquid drains down through a wick. The cold plate has a transparent cover. A circulating fan on the cold plate prevents stratification within the domed cover and helps equalize cooling of fruit on the tray.
Abstract: The saw table guide bar has magnets thereon so that when it is inserted into the slot in an iron saw table it is urged to slide along the side of the slot. The magnetic saw table guide bar is used to support various measuring devices and overcomes measuring difficulties resulting from table slots of varying width.
Abstract: The candle wick snuffer is mounted on a baseplate which is at the bottom of the candle. The baseplate carries a swing arm which is released when the temperature rises to critical point in the bottom of the candle. The baseplate may also carry a wick retainer to maintain the correct relative position between the swing arm of the candle wick snuffer and the wick. When the swing arm is released, it pulls the remaining wick down to snuff the candle flame.
Abstract: A platform receives at least two water bottles. A handtruck is configured to engage under a water bottle on the platform and carry it to the dispensing cabinet. In the handtruck, the water bottle is tilted so that the lowest corner of the bottle is directly below its neck. The handtruck engages and locks into the cabinet with the water bottle in proper, tilted position. A suction tube is dropped straight down into the bottle so that it reaches the lowest corner of the bottle. The suction tube carries a pump and discharge spout so that actuation of the pump causes dispensing of water.
Abstract: Fluid material, including medication, dermatological fluids, cream eye shadow and lip-coloring material such as lip gloss, is stored in a reservoir. Rotating a collar with respect to the reservoir advances a piston therein to deliver lip coloring or other material through a valve to a roller mounted on a dispensing head.
Abstract: The dispenser has a rotary dispenser roller mounted on a reservoir with a telescoping handle. The dispensing head preferably has a valve in its supply channel to control and stop dispensing of cream, lotion, gel or liquid fluids for application to the body surfaces. The dispensing head is angled to conveniently apply fluids to most body surfaces. The dispensing head may carry tools thereon for working with the dispensed fluids.
Abstract: The caliper gauge has a V-shaped gauge body. The V-shaped gauge body has stepped pairs of measuring surfaces both externally and internally of the V-shaped gage body. The pairs of measuring surfaces are a known distance apart for setting external and internal calipers. The gauge body may rest against a back plate, which prevents the caliper from being dislodged from the measuring surface. Indicia are provided for both the external measuring surfaces and internal measuring surfaces on the gauge body.
