Patent number: 8291058Abstract: The present invention describes a system and method of extracting and storing data elements from network packets, thus performing the task of data mining. In one embodiment of the present invention incoming packets are decomposed one protocol layer at a time to extract data elements contained in the protocol headers. Layer-specific parsers perform deep packet inspection in order to extract data elements from upper-level protocols. Extracted data is arranged in rows, which are subsequently stored into a memory-based accumulator. After some length of time the accumulator is flushed to disk files. Another process reads the flushed disk files row-by-row, inserting each row into a relational database. Standard SQL operations are performed on the relational database in order to generate and display reports of the collected data.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2010Date of Patent: October 16, 2012Assignee: Intrusion, Inc.Inventors: Tommy Joe Head, Daris A. Patent number: 8161814Abstract: A capacitive transducer for detecting the level of liquids and other materials has one or more antenna probes connected to an integrated chip normally associated with touch-screen displays. Each antenna probe operates independently and senses the level condition of wet or dry flowable materials such as water, oil, fuel, grain, and so on. The antenna probes may be formed as insulated conductive wires or conductive traces between layers of a stiff or flexible substrate, such as a PCB, with the substrate material serving as the insulating layers. Each antenna probe has a different length representing different depths of the material being measured to provide dynamic calibration of the level condition independent of the material type and ambient conditions.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2008Date of Patent: April 24, 2012Assignee: Luna Labs, Inc.Inventor: Clyde Calcote

Patent number: 7963164Abstract: A capacitive sensor assembly for measuring a level of fluent material in a container includes an electronics section for receiving and processing signals and an antenna probe operably associated with the electronics section. The antenna probe has an electrical conductor and an insulating layer that covers at least a portion of the electrical conductor. The electrical conductor is connected to the electronics section. An enlarged measurement portion is in turn connected to the electrical conductor for detecting the presence or absence of the fluent material. The enlarged measurement portion has a surface area that is larger than a surface area of the electrical conductor over an equivalent height or length to function as a first plate of the capacitive sensor assembly, with the fluent material to be measured functioning as a second capacitive plate. In this manner, a change in detected capacitance of the antenna probe is reflective of a level condition of the fluent material.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2008Date of Patent: June 21, 2011Assignee: Rochester Gauges, Inc.Inventors: Herbert G. Ross, Jr., Gagik Farmanyan

Patent number: 7739825Abstract: An illuminated sighting device includes an elongate light collector having one end defining a sight point that faces rearwardly for viewing by a user. The light collector is formed such that light can be gathered along its length and transmitted to the one end. The light collector further includes a curved transition section optically coupled with the sight point. The curved transition section has a radius of curvature that is sufficiently large to substantially reduce or eliminate light loss from the curved section and thereby increase a brightness of the sight point.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2006Date of Patent: June 22, 2010Assignee: TruGlo, Inc.Inventor: Paul LoRocco
