  • Patent number: 8345454
Abstract: A power electronics and control architecture for powering an AC load from a multi-source power system through a single conversion stage is disclosed. A controllable DC-to-AC inverter accepts a DC output voltage range from a DC power source at a DC input, and outputs an adjustable AC at an AC output. A sensor measures an output power of the DC power source to obtain a measured output power, and a processor sets a power level at the DC input based on the measured output power. The processor sets the power level to control the output power of the DC power source, and synchronizes the adjustable AC to a common AC output of the multi-source power system.

  • Patent number: 8285741
Abstract: A method and system for building a relational database is disclosed. An input file is converted to obtain a converted file comprising a plurality of data element types, and the data element types are formatted and concatenated to obtain formatted data comprising a tag associated with each of the data element types. The formatted data within an identified structure is filtered by the tag to identify an identified data element type form the plurality of data element types. At least one relational identifier is correlated to the identified data element type to obtain a relational dataset, and the relational dataset is stored in a table corresponding to the identified data element type to build a task information relational database for the identified structure.

  • Patent number: 8279106
Abstract: A method for ground surveillance radar performance analysis is disclosed. A vector of point data items indexed by time offset, and comprising a point probability of detection is received. A plurality of initial azimuths of a simulated radar signal of the radar tower is determined based on the radar field-of-regard. A plurality of initial azimuth segment probabilities of detection are calculated for each of the initial azimuths respectively based on the vector of point data items and the initial azimuths, and a segment probability of detection is determined based on the initial azimuth segment probabilities of detection.

  • Patent number: 8280111
Abstract: A system, circuit and methods for target detection from hyper-spectral image data are disclosed. Filter coefficients are determined using a modified constrained energy minimization (CEM) method. The modified CEM method can operate on a circuit operable to perform constrained linear programming optimization. A filter comprising the filter coefficients is applied to a plurality of pixels of the hyper-spectral image data to form CEM values for the pixels, and one or more target pixels are identified from the CEM values. The process may be repeated to enhance target recognition by using filter coefficients determined by excluding the identified target pixels from the hyper-spectral image data.

  • Patent number: 8237934
Abstract: A system and methods for precision marking are disclosed. A spring-loaded mechanical marking tool comprising an optical retro-reflector is operable to interface with a metrology system to expedite determination of a desired feature location. The tool simplifies user operation of metrology targeting devices, and reduces or eliminates process non-conformance, potential surface damage and miss-location.
