Abstract: A method for sealing apertures caused by manufacturing processes in micromechanical acceleration sensors is disclosed whereby apertures or recesses, serving for leading the conductor paths out of the oscillation space of an acceleration sensor without causing short circuits, can be sealed in a gas-tight manner in a simple way. The conductor paths establish the conducting connection between junction contacts of the acceleration sensor accessible from the outside with electrodes which are allocated on both sides to the oscillating mass of the acceleration sensor which is also configured as an electrode. The method provides to use an adhesive, which is curable or hardenable by means of light, and in particular, ultraviolet light.

Abstract: The catalytic converter has an axis and a housing having an inlet and an outlet. The housing contains hollow cylindrical catalyst means having an inner surface, an outer surface and passages for the exhaust gas which run from the inner surface to the outer surface. In a cross-section at right angles to the axis, the catalyst means surround an inner space of the catalyst means, with which space the inlet communicates and which space contains a limiting and/or guide member. This has a limiting and/or guide surface which approaches the inner surface of the catalyst means in a direction away from the inlet and distributes the exhaust gas, flowing into the inner space of the catalyst means during operation, uniformly over the passages of the catalyst means.
Abstract: A tool bit for insertion into a tool bit chuck on a manually operated tool used for cutting and/or percussion drilling includes an axially extending chucking shank (1). The chucking shank has two axially extending rotary entrainment grooves (2, 3) open at a free end of the shank and located diametrically opposite one another. The transverse cross-sectional areas of the rotary entrainment grooves (2, 3) are different. A locking element displaceable into a locking groove (4) with axially displaced closed ends affords axial securement of the chucking shank in the chuck. To increase the torque to be transmitted, an axially extending groove (5) open at the free end of the shank is provided with its cross-section transverse of the axial direction corresponding at least to the transverse cross-section of the locking groove (4). Due to this arrangement, faulty locking of the chucking shank in the chuck of conventional commercially available manually-operated tools can be easily recognized by the tool operator.

Abstract: The invention relates to polymethacrylate ester/polysiloxane block copolymer of the ABA or AB type, A being a polymethacrylate ester block and B a polysiloxane block. The invention furthermore relates to a method for the synthesis of such block copolymers as well as to a method to modify synthetic resins, particularly those based on (meth)acrylates, by adding an effective amount of the inventive block copolymer. The invention also relates to the block copolymer as additives for organic lacquer and varnish systems.
Abstract: A venting arrangement for a magnetically supported vacuum pump which has a high speed rotor, wherein the load carrying capacity of the axial magnetic bearing is increased in the course of the venting process by reducing the gap between the axial support disk and the axial magnet in order to carry the additional forces caused by the venting process. Abstract: A heating apparatus includes at least a pair of regenerative burner units having a fuel injection nozzle and a heat regenerator provided for a combustion air supply path. One regenerative burner unit is supplied with fuel through a fuel shut-off valve and a fuel change-over valve, and supplied with combustion air through a supply and exhaust change-over valve to perform combustion operation. The other regenerative burner unit performs heat regenerating operation by passing a combustion waste gas. Operations of the fuel shut-off valve, the fuel change-over valve and the supply and exhaust change-over valve are controlled depending upon an operation parameter of the heating apparatus.

The revolving conveyor arrangement is disposed between a pickup and the commodity inlet aperture. The conveyor arrangement further comprises a conveyor roller having rigid prongs which are disposed directly upstream of the commodity inlet aperture and above a supply channel base so as to be rotatably fixed in a supply channel.
