Abstract: A player places a base wager and an optional proposition wager in a card game or the game of Pai Gow tiles or in Three-Card Poker where all players compete against the dealer on the base wager. If the dealer receives one of predetermined hand combinations, a player making the optional proposition wager is paid odds on the proposition wager. Additionally, if the dealer receives one of the predetermined dealer hand combinations and the player also receives one of predetermined player hand combinations, players are paid higher odds. Additionally or alternatively, in lieu of just a proposition payoff, the player may be paid an enhanced winning base game award or be waived a commission when the dealer or the player himself has a predetermined qualifying hand combination.
Abstract: An improved insurance wager for Blackjack includes defining an insurance outcome set containing two or more predetermined holdings and an insurance payout associated with each holding. Each player makes an initial wager and the Blackjack game is dealt in a fashion known in the art. The insurance wager is available if the dealer's face-up card has a predetermined value, optionally ten. After each player completes his hand or busts, the dealer forms a final hand by hitting or standing according to the conventional rules of Blackjack. If the dealer's final hand is within the insurance outcome set, remaining players are rewarded based on the player's insurance wager without regard to the player's final hand. Otherwise, the player loses the insurance wager.
Abstract: An apparatus for playing a toss game includes a projectile consisting of two weights connected by a tether and a stand. The stand includes a base supporting a goal. The goal includes at least two crossbars, each of which is assigned a point value. A method of playing a toss game is played in series. A series consists of competitors tossing a predetermined number of projectiles at the goal. The competitors score points with projectiles by looping over, wrapping around, or intersecting crossbars. Points are deducted if a projectile is dislodged from the goal. Competitors attempt to obtain an aggregate score equal to a target value. Procedures for resolving ties and tosses that cause competitors to exceed the target value may be employed.

Abstract: Improved Baccarat Game methods and a device for playing the games are set forth wherein players each make a wager and are dealt a two-card hand of cards. A Banker hand is dealt with two cards face down and a third card face up. Players can receive a third card to better their hand value, modulo ten. After all players have completed their hands, the Banker hand is completed based upon established rules which may or may not include the third, exposed Banker card. According to another embodiment the Banker may receive a third and fourth card face up and eliminate the higher of the two. If the banker is entitled to use a third card, the remaining card is summed with the other two Banker cards. Each Player hand and the Banker hand are compared in a manner similar to Baccarat.

Abstract: A method and system are set forth for playing a casino game of the type where each player has a hand and competes against a hand of the dealer and or against other players using a communal holding. Each player wagers to participate in the game and posts an additional pot wager, said pot wagers aggregated to form a pot. The underlying game is played according to its established rules. The pot wagers are determined by comparing the players hands inter se to determine which player has the highest ranked holding, also according to the rules of the game. For certain dealer hands or communal holdings, the dealer wins the pot. No commission or levy is made against the pot by the casino. The system provides interlinked games to practice the method.
Abstract: An overhead storage assembly, vendable as a kit, includes a plurality of panels each of a rectangular platform having dimensions that are integer multiples of conventional structural spacing. The panels may be joined to each other to form a common support surface resting on a plurality of transverse support pieces connected at the ends to hanger assemblies that are attached to the overhead structure of a building. Each panel includes a first plurality of parallel elongate elements and a second plurality of elongate elements aligned perpendicular to the first plurality of parallel elements. Each panel, moreover, may include closely paired elongate elements near a longitudinal edge to increase the sectional stiffness of the panel and to facilitate releasable connection of the panels to the traverse support pieces and hanger assemblies. The hanger assemblies may comprise matching upper and lower straps that are secured to each other at selected suspension lengths.
