Abstract: An aqueous emulsion composition containing an aminopolysiloxane, a water-soluble oxidant such as hydrogen peroxide and its salts, water and optionally a hydroxy-terminated polysiloxane, which emulsion imparts slickness and durability to a fibrous substrate without releasing volatile organic compounds and method of use is provided.

Abstract: Diamino ureas having the formula ##STR1## wherein each ring is saturated and includes 3-5 carbon atoms and n alkyl substituents R of 1-4 carbon atoms each and n for each ring is 1-4, a method of using these materials as chain extending agents in the manufacture of poly(urethane/urea)s or polyureas, and polymers having at least one constituent unit derived from such diamino ureas are claimed.

Abstract: Synergistic surfactant compositions. Polysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymers in which the polyether pendants bear carboxylic acid groups or salts of carboxylic acid groups are demonstrated to have synergystic interactions with anionic and cationic organic surfactants to improve the surface characteristics of a solution, requiring unexpectedly low concentrations to obtain specific surface tension values or to attain critical micelle concentrations in aqueous solutions. Compositions containing an organic surfactant and a polysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymer bearing carboxyl groups are claimed. A method for modifying the surface properties of an aqueous system by employing such compositions as components of the system is also claimed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a class of surface-active siloxane compounds each having a single reactive alkoxysilane moiety. The siloxane compounds are linear or cyclic and are reactive to moisture and to compositions having hydroxyl-functionality.

Abstract: Linear polysiloxanes containing alkylhydrosiloxane units, alkylvinylsiloxane units, and dialkylsiloxane units which polysiloxanes are siloxy-endblocked that are useful as vulcanizable one-component precursors for silicone elastomer compositions, a process for their preparation, a process for preparing vulcanized silicone elastomer compositions therefrom, and novel silicone elastomer compositions are described.

Abstract: A process for preparing an oil-in-water emulsion is provided, which process comprises mixing and heating a water-insoluble organomodified polysiloxane oil or an organic oil, an organomodified silicone emulsifier, water and an alkaline metal salt above the cloud point of the emulsifier under agitated conditions and cooling the resulting mixture below the cloud point.
