  • Patent number: 4712687
Abstract: A collapsible container comprises side panels which are interconnected at their side edges by end panels. The side and end panels form a container space which can be positioned on top of a pallet. A bottom length flap extends from a lower edge of each side panel. One of the length flaps is intended to be secured to the top surface of a pallet. The other length flap is flanked by bottom width flaps which are each connected to a lower edge of one of the end panels. Each panel and flap is interconnected along a score line. Each end panel has a central vertical score line between score lines connecting the end panel to the adjacent side panels which extends from its upper edge down through a connected bottom width flap so as to divide each width flap into halves. One half of each width flap also includes a diagonal score line which extends from the adjacent side panel down to meet with the central score line dividing the width panel in half.

  • Patent number: 4697392
Abstract: In the spaced between a plurality of airplanes that are supported by a rotatable bottom wall of an airplane hangar, lifting platforms are mounted on pivoting levers. The lifting platforms are adapted to support further airplanes on an elevated level. The lifting platforms can be lowered, thereby moving translationally in a radial outward direction. A single hydraulic cylinder arrangement is mounted in a sector containing a movable door section of the hangar peripheral wall. Each lifting platform, upon rotation into that sector, is automatically coupled to the cylinder arrangement for swinging the lifting platform downwards onto the level of the rotatable bottom wall. The lifting platform, after having been raised again, is automatically disengaged from the cylinder arrangement when it leaves that sector.

  • Patent number: 4694866
Abstract: A shedding device for moving the shedding rods of a circular weaving machine includes a drive shaft which rotates a cam. The cam has a cam groove which lies in a horizontal plane and receives a plurality of cam follower supports. The supports are pivotally mounted near their center to a cantilever arm which is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis at a location spaced from the drive shaft. The cantilever arms hold the supports at correct angular positions with respect to the cam paths. Vertical swinging and pivoting of the follower supports are transmitted through horizontally moving control rods through cranks which convert the horizontal movement to vertical movement. Clamps are connected to the shedding rods and links connect the clamps to the cranks. A single follower can service a pair of connecting rods which in turn service a pair of shedding rods to save space around the cam.

  • Patent number: 4664365
Abstract: At a base of a vise a U-shaped tie element is floatingly mounted in such way that a front leg portion thereof abuts aginst the rear inner face of a stationary clamping jaw. The area of contact between the front leg portion and the clamping jaw comprises the combination of a convex nose at the one part and a planar face at the other part. The tie element is supported by resilient means which are separated from the contact area. Thereby the tie element is self-adjusting and a uniform contact is gained along the whole width of the tie element. During clamping the front leg portion is pivoted with respect to the base section of the tie element, however, thanks to a rolling line contact at the stationary clamping jaw no forces are transmitted which would angularly displace the stationary clamping jaw.
