Patent number: 7428840Abstract: The present invention provides apparatus for measuring volumetric or mass flow of fluid. The apparatus comprises a capsule that is adapted to move upwardly and downwardly within a housing and receive fluid from a tube. The apparatus further comprises force exerting means and preferably a magnetic means that is adapted to exert force on the capsule, the force is proportional to a position of the capsule within the housing. The force is measurable and controllable. A seal is provided in the capsule's bottom opening so as to fluidically block the capsule and a pin is provided so as to push aside the seal when the capsule is downwardly positioned and is filed with fluid so as to drain it. The number of times the capsule is drained in a predetermined time can be calculated so as to attain the volumetric flow rate of the fluid through the apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2005Date of Patent: September 30, 2008Assignee: A.L. Patent number: 7337808Abstract: The present invention provides a flexible hose easily converted to a rigid hose. The flexible-rigid bimodal hose comprises a plurality of adjacently engaged hollow members defining a tube having a first end, a second end, and an elongated hollow. A flexible tube as well as a cable pass through the hollow and extend therethrough. The cable acts as a means to apply tension on the hollow members. The hose has a flexible state in which each one of the hollow members is rotating in respect to neighboring hollow member and a rigid state in which the hollow members are forced together by the cable so that there is no relative movement between neighboring hollow members. An actuation means, which can be mechanically or hydraulically operated, is adapted to apply different tensile forces on the cable.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2004Date of Patent: March 4, 2008Inventors: Menashe Shamir, Ray King, Samuel Rosenbaum

Patent number: 7051754Abstract: In a hot water distribution system, the water oscillation in hot water supply line maintains hot water line in heated condition by ensuring heat transfer from the water heater to a hot water line executing regenerative heat transfer technique. Fulfillment of longitude water oscillations is ensured by installation of at least two flexible elements such as pressure air accumulators, wherein one is connected to water heater reservoir, and another is connected to hot water line in vicinity to most remote hot water fixture. This can be combined with one of pressure air accumulators initiator of water oscillations that is used for initiation and maintaining of the water oscillation. Heat spreads through the hot water line ensuring hot state of water near all fixtures of the line ensuring instantaneous hot water supply at moment of tap opening.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2004Date of Patent: May 30, 2006Inventor: Yosef Tsesarsky
