  • Patent number: 8079613
Abstract: A hitch pin securing system for receiver mounted accessories. The present invention provides a device for securely clamping a shank tube to a receiver tube. This securing device minimizes the rattling and relative movement of the shank tube and the receiver tube due to the clearance between the shank tube and the receiver tube. The securing device includes a threaded nut or bushing mounted within the shank tube. A hitch pin is inserted through the receiver tube and shank tube and engages the shank tube nut. A locking handle is used to tighten the hitch pin relative to the shank tube nut. Once the hitch pin is tight, the handle is pivoted relative to the hitch pin to cause a cam surface to tighten the shank tube nut against the shank tube which forces the shank tube in tight engagement against the receiver tube.

  • Patent number: 8044854
Abstract: A method for calculating current position coordinate and a method for calculating a pseudo range are applied to a global positioning system (GPS) receiver. A position coordinate of the GPS receiver at the positioning time point is calculated through an average pseudo range between the GPS receiver and each satellite at a positioning time point. With regard to calculating the average pseudo range between the GPS receiver and each satellite, for each satellite, original pseudo ranges are obtained through calculating a pseudo range between the satellite and the GPS receiver at each millisecond (ms) in a time range including the positioning time point, and then the average pseudo range between the satellite and the GPS receiver at the positioning time point is obtained through calculating an average value of the obtained original pseudo ranges between the GPS receiver and the satellite.

  • Patent number: 8020254
Abstract: A hinge assembly has a pintle, a rotating bracket, a sliding bracket, a mounting bracket, a compression assembly and an elastic member. The rotating bracket is mounted rotatably around the shaft and has a latching portion. The sliding bracket is attached securely to the pintle and has a track. The mounting bracket and a latching arm. The latching arm selectively presses against the latching portion to hold the hinge closed. The compression assembly is mounted around and expands when the pintle is rotated to close. The elastic member is compressed by expansion of the compression assembly so automatically rotates the pintle to open. Therefore, with the hinge mounted in an electronic device, when the latching portion is slid out of the latching arm, the hinge is forced to open by the elastic member and compression assembly so a cover pops up and is opened easily.
