  • Patent number: 5927086
Abstract: After a running stop command is released, a pump P2 for transferring a solution from the absorber 2 to a regenerator 3 is kept running. The transfer of the solution permits separation of the solution from a refrigerant during non-operation of the refrigerator. The solution saved in the regenerator 3 remains at as a high concentration of the absorbent as that before the end of the operation while the refrigerant is saved in an evaporator 1. This enables the refrigerator to restart its normal operation corresponding to an operation start command.

  • Patent number: 5887010
Abstract: Test light emitting operation is performed in test zones or manufacturer zones formed across 100 or more tracks in a non-user area in an inner or outer disk portion. The optical output power is set successively for output currents Iw0, Iw1, and Iw2 during the above test light emitting operation. In an operation in a write mode, a CPU sets a W0-D/A converter, a W1-D/A converter, W2-D/A converter so that a W0-constant current circuit, a W1-constant current circuit, and a W2-constant current circuit can provide currents in accordance with the outputs of the respective D/A converters. Three switches are turned on and off in response to write data thereby supplying a driving current to a laser diode. Thus, the laser diode is driven by a multiple-level driving current using a simple low-frequency-band circuit without having to perform power setting operation in an ALPC area of an optical recording medium.

  • Patent number: 5786651
Abstract: In a stator core, an intermediate portion of a projection and a groove have respectively formed therein: straight portions extending in a certain width in a direction normal to each end surface of yoke portions; and, near the straight portions closer to end surfaces of yoke portions, contracted portions having a width smaller than the width of the straight portions. When the projection is fit by press fitting into the groove in the normal direction, groove walls on both diametrically outer and inner sides of the groove are deflected within an elastic region. When fit by pressing, the straight and contracted portions of the projection are elastically tightened together at the straight and contracted portions of the groove, respectively. An apparatus for assembling a stator core has a plurality of radially disposed and radially movable jigs for holding the segmented cores.
