    Abstract: Disclosed is a photographic element comprising a light sensitive silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a coupler represented by formula F-1, wherein: R1, R3 and R5 are independently selected from hydrogen or a substituent group and two of them may join to form a ring; X is hydrogen or a coupling-off group, B is hydrogen or a substituent group; Z is a substituent group, and n varies from 0-4. The element exhibits improved dye-forming activity and an improved combination of dye hue and dye stability.
