  • Patent number: 8269525
Abstract: A disclosed integrated circuit logic cell includes a clock input operative to receive a clock input from a clock tree of the integrated circuit, and clocking circuitry, internal to the logic cell, operative to place a plurality of clock nodes, within the logic cell, in a logical off state in response to a predetermined logic state of the logic cell, thereby preventing the clock nodes from toggling during the predetermined logic state of the logic cell. The integrated circuit logic cell includes primary logic circuitry, internal to the logic cell, operatively coupled to the clocking circuitry which is operatively coupled to an input of the primary logic circuitry. The clocking circuitry provides clock outputs operatively coupled to the clock nodes which are within the primary logic circuitry, and is operative to control the clock outputs in response to the predetermined logic state.

  • Patent number: 8271093
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention relates to a system for deriving physiologic measurement values that are relative to ambient conditions. In one embodiment, the system comprises an implantable medical device (“IMD”), an external computing device, and a backend computing system. The IMD determines an absolute physiologic parameter value within a patient's body, and communicates the absolute physiologic parameter value outside the patient's body, for example, to the external computing device. Further, the external computing device receives the absolute physiologic parameter from the IMD and communicates it to the backend computing system. The backend computing system receives the absolute physiologic parameter value and obtains an ambient condition value outside the body that can affect the absolute physiologic parameter value.

  • Patent number: 8271097
Abstract: Various embodiments relating to MRI safe, multi-polar active fixation stimulation leads with co-radial construction are disclosed. Some embodiments, allow the use of the generally smaller diameter co-radially constructed body (coated wires) to construct an active fixation lead, with an extendable/retractable fixation mechanism. Some embodiments use a connector assembly with an inner terminal ring, a terminal pin partially rotatably positioned within the annular inner terminal ring, and one or more resilient C-clips disposed within circumferential recesses. The resilient C-clips mechanically and electrically couple the inner terminal ring and the terminal ring while substantially limiting relative longitudinal translation of the terminal pin.

  • Patent number: 8262552
Abstract: A chuck for rotating around a rotation axis XA a centrifugal separation bowl secured thereto includes a vat-shaped body for receiving a lower end portion of the separation bowl secured therein with a peripheral rim of the chuck surrounding an outer flank of the separation bowl. The chuck includes a plurality of clutching systems to cooperate with the flank of the separation bowl in securing it to the chuck. The clutching systems include a channel formed in the chuck body with an arcuate path in the peripheral rim of the chuck body. A chain of translatory bodies arranged within the channel includes a proximal translatory body and a distal translatory body in the chain, whereby a force acting on the proximal body and directed outwardly of the rotation axis XA is transmitted through the chain of translatory bodies to the distal translatory body to urge it inwardly towards the rotation axis XA to clutch the outer flank of the separation bowl, whereby the separation bowl is secured to the rotary chuck.

  • Patent number: 8261443
Abstract: During assembly of a medical electrical lead, the tubular lead component is slid over the outer surface of the lead body to a desired location on the lead. The ends of the tubular lead body are sealed and a space is defined between the inner surface of the tubular lead component and the outer surface of the lead body. Medical adhesive is injected through the port(s) to substantially fill the space between the tubular component and the lead body. The adhesive is then cured. Any ports extending away from the sleeve are removed after the curing step.
