The white polyimide film has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) less than about 60 ppm/° C. in a temperature range between about 100° C. and about 200° C. , an elongation rate between about 5% and about 60%, and a b*-value between about 0 and about 15. In some embodiments, a method of manufacturing the white polyimide film is also described.
Abstract: A dynamic stabilization apparatus comprises elongated members mounted within the proximal end of anchoring devices that are placed in adjacent vertebral bodies. A flexible element having elastic properties within the applicable range of loading, for example loads that the spine experiences, is disposed between the proximal ends of the elongated members. At least one additional flexible element is mounted about the proximal ends of the elongated members adjacent the central flexible element. A housing encapsulates the proximal ends of the members such that the flexible element and the additional flexible elements are contained therein. As compressive, tensile, angular, shear and rotational forces are applied to the elongated members the central flexible element and the additional flexible elements interact with the elongated members and the housing to allow for motion of the elongated members.

Abstract: Methods and systems for scanning an endpoint terminal across an open computer network are disclosed. An exemplary method includes providing a scanner engine in a computer server in communication with an open computer network, and establishing a secure connection across the open computer network between the scanner engine and a scanner agent installed on the endpoint terminal in communication with the open computer network. Commands for collecting data regarding the endpoint terminal are sent from the scanner engine across the secure connection to the scanner agent. The scanner engine then receives the collected data from the scanner agent across the secure connection, analyzes the data to assess a current posture of the endpoint terminal, and determines any updates for the endpoint terminal from the analysis. Updates are sent across the secure connection to the scanner agent for installation on the endpoint terminal, and the secure connection may then be terminated.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for regenerating the phase of an optically modulated signal with phase changes and based on two and three replicas, wherein the replicas refer to the number of identical signals that are obtained form the input signal. This regenerator is capable of regenerating the phase and period of any format of modulation of optical communications systems which are differential modulation with phase changes, such as: DISK, DQPSK, RZ-DQPSK, RZ-DQPSK, D8PSK, D8PSK, RZ-D16PSK, D16PSK. The regenerator design presented involves the regenerator being placed alter the multiplexer of a communications system and before the signal modulators and/or decoders. Thus the regenerator receives the signal leaving the multiplexer and this signal is input in an amplitude modulator.
