  • Patent number: 6766591
Abstract: A garment drying apparatus includes a housing forming a base. A heater is mounted in the base for warming ambient air drawn into the base via a fan through openings formed in the base. A pair of air ducting walls are mounted in the base to direct a portion of the warm air in a first flow path and the remaining portion of the warm air in a second flow path. The flow paths are disposed in substantially diametrically opposed directions within the base. The housing further includes a top wall for covering the base. The top wall includes vent openings aligned with distal ends of the first and second flow paths. Garment support members are mounted on the top surface of the top wall and are pivotable between a first position where support is aligned substantially horizontally in a stowed position on the top wall and a second position where the support is substantially upright relative to the top wall.

  • Patent number: 6672839
Abstract: An electric fan having an electric motor and a fan wheel connected to the electric motor. The fan wheel has a hub and fan blades extending from the hub. The fan blades include a proximal section at the hub, a distal section and a middle section. The proximal section has a flat surface at a trailing edge of the blade. The trailing edge at the distal section is curved with an angle of curvature of about 10°. The trailing edge at the middle section is curved with an angle of curvature of about 36°. When the fan wheel is rotated by the electric motor at a constant speed, air pushed by each of the fan blades is propelled at a substantially same velocity and direction from the blade measured across a radial length of the blade.

  • Patent number: 6639187
Abstract: A vertical toaster comprising a housing, heating elements, a food support and a drive. The heating elements are connected to the housing and comprise at least one calrod. The calrod comprises an electric wire surrounded by heat conductive electrical insulation and a metal cover. The food support is movably mounted to the housing for up and down motion. The drive is for moving the food support relative to the housing. The drive comprises a motor and a linkage between the motor and the food support for moving the food support both down and up such that food on the food support passes by the calrod. The calrod prevents an electrical shock to a user if the user accidentally contacts the calrod with an electrically conductive member.
