Abstract: A recreational pet toy for cats which includes an outer covering and a cord attached to the pet toy for hanging the recreational pet toy during use. The pet toy also includes an elongated channel for receiving catnip and distributing the catnip along its length.
Abstract: A surf ski system to enable a user to surf waves. This system includes a pair of surf skis, each surf ski being in the form of a floatation device including a floating hull, fore and aft ends, longitudinal axis connecting the fore and aft ends and a transverse axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A pair of flexible connecting straps are provided connecting the pair of surf skis, each surf ski having a foot well and toe straps for receiving and partially restraining the feet of a user. One of the flexible connecting straps is located fore of the foot wells and one of the flexible connecting straps being aft of the foot wells. Each of the floatation devices has an upper surface and a lower surface and side walls for facilitating a user's ability to plane on water and a skeg extending from each lower surface, the side walls and lower surface meeting at an edge forming a hard chine there between.
Abstract: A tone arm assembly for use with a rotatable turntable. The tone arm assembly includes a tone arm body supported adjacent to the rotating turntable being horizontally pivotable about a vertically extending axis. A tone arm tube is provided having a longitudinal axis and a first end and a second end, the first end extending within and being supported by the tone arm body and the second end terminating at a shell for releaseably supporting a pick up cartridge. A counterweight is included which is translatable along a horizontal path parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tone arm tube between a first position and a second position, the first position being closest to the shell and a second position being farthest from the shell to adjust contact pressure between a stylus maintained by the pick up cartridge and a record supported by the rotatable turntable.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for qualifying a Satellite Positioning System (SPS) location determination. A method in accordance with the present invention comprises determining a constellation of satellites used in the location determination, making a measurement set based on signals received from the constellation of satellites, comparing the measurement set and the constellation of satellites used in the location determination to a predetermined threshold, and reporting the location determination only when the threshold is not exceeded. Such a method further optionally includes the threshold being user-selectable, the threshold being adjusted or disabled based on a pre-defined scheme, the threshold being adjusted in a sequential form based on a pre-defined scheme, and the measurement set being made in a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver.

Abstract: The present eyewear includes a pair of lenses, a pair of releaseable connectors connected to respective inner ends of the lenses, a pair of temples pivotally connected to respective outer ends of the lenses and a rigid strap connected between rear ends of the temples. The strap is generally U-shaped having substantially parallel legs connected to an arc-shaped base, the substantially parallel legs being connected to rear ends of the temples and when worn, the arc-shaped base extends along the back of a user's head. The strap at its U-shaped base is provided with a telescoping segment for selectively altering the length of the arc-shaped base for altering the spacing between the strap's substantially parallel legs to adjust the strap for varying widths of a user's head. The inner ends of the lenses are releasably secured together by connectors.
Abstract: A GPS enabled timepiece. A Global Positioning System (GPS) enabled timepiece in accordance with the present invention comprises a timepiece, the timepiece comprising a local oscillator, and a GPS receiver, coupled to the timepiece, the GPS receiver using the local oscillator to predict a time arrival of a GPS message from a GPS satellite, wherein the GPS receiver is powered on based on the predicted time.
Abstract: In combination, an aerobic microbial biomass and viability supporting container therefore. The aerobic microbial biomass is composed of microorganisms extracted from a tea composition and stored as a liquid or applied to a stabilizing medium for storage as a solid. The aerobic microbial biomass is stored in a container which is characterized as being oxygen permeable to the extent of maintaining at least approximately 5.5 ppm oxygen in the aerobic microbial biomass wherein less than approximately 10% of the microorganisms are maintained in an active state and over a period of at least twelve months, a minimum of at least 50% of the extracted microorganisms are maintained as viable.
