Abstract: A lens actuation device for an optical system includes a housing, a carrier at least partially installed in the housing, and a plurality of transducers arranged around the carrier in the housing. All the transducers are coupled with the mount, and at least one transducer includes at least one magnet and at least one coil. At least one transducer includes at least one yoke. All the transducers when powered on may generate independent or consistent movement to cause the mount to make linear movement, rotation, or both relative to the housing. An optical system adopting the lens actuation device and a camera using the same are also presented. The device of the present invention uses the transducers to drive the carrier, such that the lens set is driven to make linear movement, rotation, or both, thereby achieving the flexible manipulation of the lens.

Abstract: The subject matter disclosed herein relates to mitigation of search engine hijacking. In one example implementation, a sentiment value associated with anchortext in a search engine result may be determined. Similarly, a sentiment value of one or more web pages referenced by the anchor text may also be determined. A divergence between sentiment values associated with the anchortext and a web page may then determined.
Abstract: Embodiments of methods, apparatuses, devices, and/or systems for load balancing two processors, such as for graphics and/or video processing, for example, are described.

Abstract: A communication system method allows a voice-over-IP (VoIP) packet data connection to be established by sending a subscriber address to a remote database server. The database server converts the subscriber address to an Internet address and informs the wireless handset of an active Internet address to be used to complete the call. In some embodiments the subscriber address is a telephone number that can also be used to reach the subscriber using the public switched telephone network. Other types of media are also supported like digital pictures, digital video, chat sessions, and application sharing sessions.

Abstract: Subject matter disclosed herein relates to document classification and/or automated document classifier tuning. In an example embodiment, a document received from a user computing platform in an online database stored in a memory of a server computing platform may be classified based, at least in part, on a training set. Also for an example embodiment, the training set may be modified based, at least in part, on statistics gathered from user browsing behavior.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fully automated system capable of producing high quality real-time S-parameter images. It is a useful and versatile tool in Material Science and Solid State Technology for determining the location of subsurface defect types and concentrations on bulk-materials as well as thin-films. The system is also useful in locating top surface metallizations and structures in solid state devices. This imaging system operates by scanning the sample surface with either a small positron source (22Na) or a focused positron beam. The system also possesses another two major parts, namely electronic instrumentation and stand-alone imaging software. In the system, the processing time and use of system resources are constantly monitored and optimized for producing high resolution S-parameter image of the sample in real time with a general purpose personal computer.
