Abstract: A biofeedback system that incorporates binaural beat technology to augment the EEG feedback provided to the trainee. Specifically, the system will provide binaural beats at the frequency of the brain's naturally occurring peak energy in the EEG band or bands subject to the biofeedback.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a three-dimensional viewing disk of the type that can viewed using a stereoscopic viewing device, such as the devices sold under the trademark VIEW-MASTER. The method enables the manufacturing of disks in small lots using conventional two-dimensional digital images with the addition of text that is viewed with a three-dimensional effect.
Abstract: A three-dimensional rear projection screen that has substantially improved contrast by using a tinted layer disposed between the source of the projected light and the light diffusion layer. This tinted attenuation layer diminishes the back-scattered light more than it diminishes the desired forward-scattered light which makes up the image on the screen. The contrast of the image is thus improved because the reduction of the back-scattered light relative to the forward-scattered light diminishes the degradation of contrast caused by the impingement of spurious light onto opposite portions of the rear projection screen.
Abstract: A collapsible bow holder that fits over the back of a car or truck seat to facilitate the ready access to a bow in the event that a sportsman wants to deploy it in a nearly immediate manner. The bow holder allows for one or more bows to be securely stored within a vehicle along with arrows, maps, and other accessories. When not in use, the bow holder can be collapsed to a flat shape that is easily stored within a vehicle.
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method of producing transformed water without contact between the original transformed water and the water to be transformed. This is accomplished by organizing the original transformed water into a geometric contained arrangement such that a central cavity is created that substantially surrounds the water that is to be transformed. The water to be transformed is placed into a confined vessel such as a cylindrical container or a pipe inside the central cavity for about sixty seconds. This water then becomes transformed in the same likeness of the molecular clustering of the original transformed water.
Abstract: A foundation vent comprising a front frame and resiliently-flexible clips with tabs at their ends. The foundation vent can be quickly installed within a foundation opening by flexing the clips, placing them into the opening, and pushing the front frame until it seats against the exterior of a foundation wall. At this point, the tabs of the clips will have protruded past the interior face of the foundation wall allowing the clips to return to their unflexed state and causing the tabs to secure against the interior face of the foundation wall.
Abstract: A nutritional supplement to improve learning, academic, and behavioral performance, particularly of children in academic settings, comprising a quantity of flavonoid compounds with oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) derived from a multitude of plant substances, lipoic-carotenoid compounds, and a neurotransmitter amino acid.
Abstract: A stabilizing and vibration-isolating mount to facilitate the manual operation of a camera from mobile platforms such as aircraft, motor vehicles, and watercraft. The camera mount comprises a carriage assembly that allows the roll axis of rotation to pass through the optical axis of the camera lens, thus eliminating the pendulum or over-the-center phenomenon that characterizes moving images filmed while the camera is moving about the roll axis. Movement around all three axes of rotation can be stabilized by gyrostabilizers that can be adjustably positioned through the centerlines of the pan, roll, and tilt axes.
Abstract: A projection apparatus comprising a three-dimensional screen, a convex mirror, two or more projectors, and an assemblage of flat mirrored surfaces that share at least one common edge or apex that faces the convex mirror. The flat mirrored surfaces fold the images from separate projectors into a common image that has single optical axis aligned with principal axis of the convex mirror so that the combined image is reflected from the convex mirror onto the three dimensional screen.
Abstract: A means of quickly securing and unsecuring plates on the ends of barbells, dumbbells, and similar exercise equipment without the use of separable collars. The plates are secured by means of one or more plungers that are actuated by an internal mechanism that causes the plunger or plungers to rise above the outer circumference of the end of the bar.
