Abstract: A pressure control device and associated method of use capable of regulating fluid pressure for multiple fluid types. The pressure control device includes a fluid sensing port, a pressure responsive device, a fluid sensing port, a valve, a valve seat, a first valve chamber, a second valve chamber that is moveable in relationship to the first valve chamber, a first member located within the first valve chamber, a first biasing mechanism located between the pressure responsive device and the first member, a first adjustment mechanism adjustably attached to the first valve chamber for selectively positioning the first member in relation to the first valve chamber, a second member located within the second valve chamber, a second biasing mechanism to apply pressure to the second member and a second adjustment mechanism adjustably attached to the second valve chamber for selectively positioning the second member in relation to the second valve chamber.
Abstract: A display rack for articles comprising a plurality of elongate channels having a generally J-shaped cross-section defining a high rear wall, a low front wall, and a bottom surface to form a trough for supporting articles therein. Each of the elongate channels further have a front surface and a rear surface. Two weight transfer segments are removably attached to the rear surface of the elongate channels such that, when articles on displayed on the rack, the weight of the articles is distributed uniformly among the weight transfer segments.
Abstract: A control device for regulating delivery of fuel and an associated method of use is disclosed. The control device includes an inlet, an electromagnetic safety valve, having a thermocouple connection, a control valve, wherein the electromagnetic safety valve selectively allows fuel to flow from the inlet to the control valve through the electromagnetic safety valve when the thermocouple connection is heated, an actuator valve, a main valve having a pressure responsive device, having a first side and a second side and including an outlet chamber, a regulator valve having a sensing port and an outlet. There is an adjustment mechanism associated with the control valve that can also direct fuel into a pilot assembly.
Abstract: A locking device for use with an electrical plug having a pair of spaced prongs, each prong having an aperture spaced from its free end portion, the locking device including a body member, a pair of spaced apart arm members, and an elongated member extending between the pair of arm members. The transverse member is adapted for insertably receiving the apertures associated with the plug prongs, one of the arm members being pivotally movable between a first position wherein sufficient space is provided for engaging the plug apertures with the free end portion of the elongated member and a second position wherein the plug prongs cannot be disengaged from the elongated member.
Abstract: Methods of making roofing products. One such method includes (a) creating a mixture having a filler and a polymer; (b) forming a sheet from the mixture; (c) cooling the sheet; (d) embossing the sheet; (e) forming multiple roofing products from the sheet; and (f) bundling at least some of the roofing products. Steps (a)-(f) are performed using an automated procedure. Another of the methods involves (a) creating composite roofing products using mold cavities; (b) using a robot to transfer some of the roofing products from some of the mold cavities to a conveying system; and (c) stacking together at least two of the roofing products that have different colors or different surface configurations.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for a meat cut classification and fat trimming for sensing the thickness of a layer of fat of a cut of meat and the various contours thereof as it travels along a conveyance and providing the fat thickness or classification information to a downstream system for performing a fat trimming operation. The meat cut classification system comprises a split/multi-belt conveyor having split/multi-belts proximately spaced apart extending in the same direction and having a uniform equidistant gap there between and said conveyor having a drive for conveying the meat cut through the classification system and a multi-probe mechanism assembly.
Abstract: A shoe rack for mounting to an upright surface, or for hanging over a door, includes a pair of plastic, vertical side frame members and a plurality of shoe-retaining bars positioned between the side frame members upon which shoes, boxes and the like may be supported. A number of different embodiments are shown, each of which incorporates different features, including a construction making use of generally S-shaped support arms that provide lateral barriers to displacement of shoes off of the side of the shoe rack when the door is swung open or closed.

Abstract: A dust ruffle for a bed having a box spring and a mattress. The dust ruffle has first, second and third panels, each having a top edge and a bottom edge, the top edge including a plurality of grommets. The top edge of the first, second and third panels is positioned on the box spring between the box spring and mattress. Removable screw pins are inserted through at least some of the plurality of grommets and penetrate the top of the box spring to removably attach the first, second and third panels to the box spring. The first, second and third panels hang vertically from the top edge to cover the box spring and their height is adjustable by adjusting the position of the panels on the box spring prior to insertion of the screw pins.
Abstract: A coolant flow valve for controlling the distribution and flow of coolant to replace the radiator thermostat and heater valve currently used in automotive applications. The valve includes a valve rotor rotationally received in a valve housing wherein the rotational orientation thereof determines which combination of flow paths through four different outlet ports is selected.
Abstract: An aerated grit chamber includes an aeration zone in which influent is vigorously aerated and a settling zone separated from the aeration zone by a baffle beneath which wastewater flows from the aeration zone into the settling zone. The aeration causes swirling motion and causes larger grit particles to settle and accumulate in a grit trough on the floor. An inclined plate settler in the upper part of the settling zone causes smaller grit to settle and fall into the grit trough. In order to prevent overly efficient operation at low flow rates and settling of organics with the grit, internal recycling of the wastewater from the settling zone back into the aeration zone is effected, preferably with air lift to induce recycling but also using alternative techniques such as direct pumping.
Abstract: A system and method for tuning a pulsed-flame photometric detector including providing a carrier gas within a predetermined gas flow range to the pulsed-flame photometric detector, providing at least one combustible fuel to the pulsed-flame photometric detector, applying voltage to an igniter coil associated with the pulsed-flame photometric detector, verifying that the pulsed-flame photometric detector is pulsing above a lower predetermined frequency and above a higher predetermined frequency, adjusting the gas flow of the at least one combustible fuel to the pulsed-flame photometric detector so that at least one cycle of ignition, propagation and then termination is present, heating a container to a predetermined temperature, allowing the at least one carrier gas to flow within the container, housing a tuning compound, and monitoring a width of a sulfur emission resulting from the combustion of the tuning compound to evaluate the width of sulfur emission signal all through a controller.

Abstract: A valve for regulating fluid flow and associated method of use. The valve includes a stepper motor, a first valve chamber having an inlet port, a second valve chamber having an outlet port, wherein the first valve chamber includes an opening between the first valve chamber and the second valve chamber, a first member that is rotatable and operatively attached to the stepper motor, a second member that engages the first member for linear movement of the second member between a first position and a second position when the first member is rotated by the stepper motor, and a sealing mechanism that is operatively attached to the second member, wherein the sealing mechanism can move adjacent to the opening when the second member is in the first position and the sealing mechanism can move away from the opening when the second member is in the second position.
Abstract: A semiconductor LED device in which a reverse p-n junction diode protective element is integrated with a single p-n junction AlGaInN semiconductor LED element having a conventional structure, so that the semiconductor LED device exhibits high resistance to reverse voltage. In accordance with the function of the reverse p-n junction diode protective element, the p-n junction LED element can be securely protected from external static electricity and momentary reverse overvoltage applied thereto. In particular, it is possible to basically eliminate causes of a p-n junction breakage occurring in an LED element due to application of a reverse voltage frequently occurring during a process of the LED element, thereby greatly improving the reliability and yield of the LED element.
Abstract: A filter cartridge (20) and method for making a filter cartridge (20) for removing particulates from a particulate laden fluid stream moving one direction through the filter cartridge. The filter cartridge (20) is periodically subject to cleaning fluid moving in an opposite direction to the fluid stream. The filter cartridge (20) comprises filtration media (24) formed into a tubular configuration and having a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart pleats (26). A retention device (82) to limit radial movement of the filtration media (24) when subjected to the periodical cleaning fluid and to maintain the pleats (26) in the filtration media circumferentially spaced apart when exposed up to 130 degrees Celsius. Preferably, the extrudate (144) is thermoplastic, polyester, elastomeric material and at least one additive may be present. Multiple layers of the extrudate (144) may be fused together.

Abstract: A goggle shield is provided. The shield includes a lined cover, and multiple attachment devices to attach the cover to a goggle. The cover may be easily moved from a shielding position over the goggle lens to permit viewing through the goggle lens. Resilient means is provided to permit selective adjustment of the size and shape of the cover allowing the cover to be fit to various sizes and shapes of goggles. The attachment devices are operable to allow a user various modes of operation of the shield.
