  • Patent number: 5619800
Abstract: An alignment apparatus, comprising a set of tripods, having rollers on the base of each tripod, where the tripod replaces the wheel on a vehicle axle hub, and the vehicle is lowered so that the tripods support the weight of the vehicle. The tripods have a set of gauges, which display whether a gauge bar, on the base of the tripod, is level lengthwise, and from side to side. An adjustable gauge is used when the tripods are raised off of the ground, or when the steering wheel is used to turn the hubs, and the adjustable gauge is recalibrated to display the readings given by the other gauges when the tripods support the vehicle, or prior to the turning of the steering wheel. The information on the gauges is used to determine and correct camber, castor and toe in and toe out setting of the hubs, in relation to each other.

  • Patent number: 5595308
Abstract: A compact disc box container assembly for holding a number of compact disc container boxes and for displaying, illuminating, and viewing the facial informational indicia of the disc boxes. The holder comprises a pair of opposing longitudinal sides defining a structure with angularly disposed channels, at least two tray members, and at least a pair of end caps slidably engaged to the longitudinal sides. The composition of the composing material includes a fluorescent dyestuff for the illumination of the disc boxes, especially from the edges of the elements that make-up the assembly.

  • Patent number: 5590192
Abstract: A floppy disk, having a microprocessor and battery power supply, a magnetic field sensor, and an on switch on the central hub. A plurality of magnetic fields are placed on the disk housing, in a circular pattern around the disk's axis of rotation, and are detected using a magnetic field sensor located on the hub. When the floppy disk is placed into the computer's drive bay, the computer disk drive motor does an initial series of operating and idle time increments. The floppy disk magnetic field sensor detects the number of revolutions of the disk, and stores the revolutions per time increment. The computer then communicates with the floppy disk, using disk motor operation and idle times. The floppy disk communicates information to the computer, via the user who reads information on a LCD readout, located on the floppy disk, and types in the information on the computer keyboard. The floppy disk is used as a personalized key, for both installing and updating programs for continued use.

  • Patent number: 5584814
Abstract: A portable and hand held syringe filling device, having a frame that forms a curved channel, and one or more bulkheads fixed to the frame, that grip the barrel and flanges of a hypodermic syringe. A double acting air cylinder is fixed to one of the bulkheads, and is positioned within the frame channel, with the moving rod portion fixed to a slider having a thumb plate gripper that grips the thumb plate and plunger of a hypodermic syringe. The amount of air pressure and flow rate of the air pressure is specifically tailored to actuate the double action air cylinder, to provide an exact draw and dispense force on the syringe plunger. An adjustable stop is used to allow the syringe filling device to act as a pump, that delivers metered portions of liquid to target containers.

  • Patent number: 5474416
Abstract: This invention relates to a towable trailer, having an inner and outer frame, that function as levers, to lower the load bed horizontally to ground level. The levers are pivotally attached at the rear of the trailer. The trailer has a hinged tongue portion that when raised, allows cargo such as snowmobiles, to be driven or unloaded off of the front of the load bed while the load bed remains on ground level.

  • Patent number: 5435059
Abstract: A balancing process for crankshafts that are assembled from a plurality of precisely machined, forged parts, in which the balancing process connects both revolving and reciprocating imbalances, allowing for optimum balancing conditions, which exceed the normal 50% balancing limit for weights that involve reciprocating unbalance. In this process, a substitute weight is positioned between two counterweight discs, that are part of corresponding sub assemblies of a temporary assembled crankshaft, with the substitute weight occupying the space normally occupied by the big end pin. The temporary assembled crankshaft, is placed on a dynamic balancing machine, and any imbalance is corrected. The connecting rod, prior to being assembled in the crankshaft, is balanced by placing the connecting rod on a weighing scale, that has been calibrated to zero position, using a master connecting rod of a known center of gravity.
