Abstract: An improved side pack for holding objects on the side of the torso to provide comfortable, ready, and ergonomic access to the objects, comprising a strap assembly and a suspended bag. A bag includes a main compartment facing away from the user having a closing flap for closing a top opening of the compartment. Secondary compartments are provided facing the user. A hold-down depending from the secondary compartments may be attached to a belt loop to restrict movement of the bag. A strap assembly comprises a primary strap adjustably attached to retention straps on the bag. The primary strap has a wide midportion for spreading the weight of the bag. An auxiliary strap attachable to a plurality of positions on the midportion of the primary step extends across the back and under the distal arm and serves to retain the primary strap in place on the shoulder.
Abstract: An improved method for treatment of conditions in human beings associated with either or both reactive arthritis or bursitis comprising administration of a combination of acyclovir, L-lysine, minocycline hydrochloride, and metronidazole. An alternate method comprises administration of isonicotinic acid hydrazide.
Abstract: An improved ergonomically efficient tool having two adjustable and lockable bends allowing the handle to be bent to selected angles at each bend. An alternate embodiment includes a telescoping feature between the two bends allowing the handle length to be adjusted to the height of a user. The two bends and the telescoping feature cooperate to minimize a user's need to stoop over to use the tool and make it easier and more ergonomically efficient to use. A coupling feature in a further embodiment allows multiple tool heads to be easily attached to the bendable handle.
Abstract: An improved seat structure for assisting physically impaired individuals to bathe, including rectangular base which supports a seat. The seat is attached to a swivel which slides on tracks providing linear and rotary moveability. The base is affixed to adjoining walls of an existing bathtub enclosure by channels and fasteners.
Abstract: A flexible spinning throw toy having a top hub and a bottom hub connected by a plurality of flexible straps which, when thrown with a spinning motion imparted to it, bends into an oblate shape. Spinning of the toy creates a gyroscopic effect, allowing it to be thrown accurately for considerable distances. In alternate embodiments the straps are detachably connected to the hubs for removal as needed. The toy can be collapsed for easy portability.
Abstract: An improved method for treatment of conditions in human beings associated with either or both reactive arthritis or bursitis comprising administration of a combination of L-lysine, minocycline hydrochloride, isonicotinic acid hydrazide, and metronidazole.
Abstract: A multiple application card data system comprises a data management device and a user card. The user card includes a first memory for storing provider data, and a second memory, separated from the first memory, for storing data unique to a user. The data management device compares a unique set of user data on the device with the data on the second memory of the user card for identification of the proper user card. The device also includes a stored digital representation of the user's fingerprint and a fingerprint scanner for imaging of a fingerprint for comparison with the digital representation of the user's fingerprint for identification of the proper user. A memory in the device stores copies of data from a plurality of provider data cards. The device enables transfer and storage of the data of one provider on the first memory of the user card, making the user card an effective clone of that provider's data card. The provider data on the first memory can be re-encoded as desired.
Abstract: An improved conversion device for use with hand-held power tools having a rigid base portion firmly affixed to a work surface. An elongated arm is affixed to the base allowing the arm to slide longitudinally on the base and above the work surface for substantially the full length of the arm. A power tool is mounted to the distal end of the arm, the blade or other tool head of the power tool projecting downward through a hole in the arm. The arm can be adjusted and fixed in position to set the distance between the blade or other tool head and a side-facing guide surface on the base according to the dimension of a cut to be made in a work piece.
Abstract: An improved vehicle body repair apparatus comprising a rigid planar framework, horizontal bars adjustably attached to the framework, and extension members adjustably attached to and depending from the horizontal bars, the extension members comprising set point members for making contact with set points on undamaged portions of a damaged vehicle, and the extension members including a repair set point extension member for creating a reference point with respect to which the damaged portion of the vehicle can be repaired.
Abstract: An improved ergonomically efficient implement handle having two joints allowing the handle to be bent to selected angles at each joint and a telescoping feature between the two joints allowing the handle length to be adjusted to the height of the user. The two bendable joints and the telescoping feature cooperate to minimize the user's need to stoop over to use a blade or other implement and make it easier and more ergonomically efficient to work with the blade or other implement. A coupling feature allows multiple implements such as a blade or fork to be easily attached to the handle.
Abstract: An improved roasting rack having an infinitely adjustable width comprising two interlocking frameworks. A first and a second framework each include a plurality of grate members. Each grate member comprises a base end and an elongated arm extending away from the base end and forming a distal end of each framework. An upper cross-bar is affixed to the distal end of each framework and a lower cross-bar is affixed to the inside surface of the base ends adjacent the elongated arms. The first framework inserts into the second framework, to join the framework and form a roasting rack, such that the elongated arms interleave with each other and so that the upper cross-bar of each framework rides on a continuous top bearing support surface provided by the elongated arms of the other framework. The infinitely adjustable width of the roasting rack is characterized by the position of the upper cross-bar of each framework on the continuous top bearing support surface of the other framework.
