Abstract: An individual temporary shelter apparatus is an apparatus which can act as a bed, lounge or chair with a complete enclosure including windows for cross ventilation, capable of withstanding wind and precipitation. The apparatus seals against insects and noxious fumes. The apparatus is portable in that it is entirely collapsible to a frame like that of a backpack and includes pockets and shoulder straps and a belt for supporting the frame on the back of the user much like a conventional backpack.
