  • Patent number: 7577910
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a computer device with a limited user-interface via a remote computer device having a more powerful user interface. Both computer devices are interconnected via a wireless communication channel and both computer devices support a common communications protocol. User-interface information is sent from the computer device with a limited user-interface to the remote computer device to provide a user-interface at the remote computer device for receiving user input at the remote computer device. The user input controls the computer device with a limited user-interface to execute commands therein corresponding to the user input.

  • Patent number: 7499308
Abstract: Aspects of the invention relate to a programmable heavy-ion sensing device for accelerated DRAM soft error detection. Design of a DRAM-based alpha particle sensing apparatus is preferred to be used as an accelerated on-chip SER test vehicle. The sensing apparatus is provided with programmable sensing margin, refresh rate, and supply voltage to achieve various degree of SER sensitivity. In addition, a dual-mode DRAM array is proposed so that at least a portion of the array can be used to monitor high-energy particle activities during soft-error detection (SED) mode.

  • Patent number: 7447537
Abstract: Image processing is used to determine information about the position of a designated object, particularly where the object is difficult to view or locate. In particular, use in endoscopic surgery can determine positional information about an anatomical feature within a patient's body. The positional information is then used to position or reposition a surgical instrument in relation to the designated object. An instrument placed in relation to the designated object is capable of sending information about the object to a computer. Image processing generates images and determines positional information, which can be used as input to robotic devices or rendered to a human user.

  • Patent number: 7369410
Abstract: An apparatus for providing two-phase heat transfer for semiconductor devices includes a vapor chamber configured to carry a cooling liquid, the vapor chamber having base section, and a plurality of three-dimensional (3D) shaped members. The plurality of 3D-shaped members have interior and exterior sidewalls, the 3D-shaped members being connected to the base section so that vapor carrying latent heat can reach the respective interior sidewalls and get transferred to the respective exterior sidewalls configured to be in contact with an external coolant. The vapor chamber is configured to be in contact with a semiconductor device in order to remove heat therefrom.

  • Patent number: 7305515
Abstract: A compiler is provided for compiling at least one array or bank unit of a DRAM macro such that electrical performance, including cycle time, access time, setup time, among other properties, is optimized. The compiler compiles the DRAM macro according to inputted information. The compiler receives an input capacity and configuration for the DRAM macro. A compiler algorithm determines a number of wordlines and bitlines required to create the DRAM macro of the input capacity. The compiler algorithm optimizes the cycle time and access time of the DRAM macro by properly configuring a support unit of the DRAM macro based upon the number of wordlines and bitlines.
