  • Patent number: 7823294
Abstract: An improvement in a compass that marks large radius arcs is disclosed. The compass is for marking on flat surfaces like the ground and walls where higher degree of accuracy for the radius or circle is desired. More particularly, the present flat compass allows a person to create a virtually unlimited radius arc using a center point and a rigid arm with a marking tip. The flat compass uses a rigid flat ruler with an embeddable anchor, such as a nail, on one end and a marking tip on the other that keeps the rigid arm essentially parallel with the marking surface as the surface is being marked. The marking tip is movable along the length of the rigid flat ruler. Multiple rulers can be connected to increase the size of the arc that will be drawn.

  • Patent number: 7817016
Abstract: A combination light and sound producing fixture and combination screw-in light with speakers element is disclosed where the fixture is installed in a wall or ceiling or on a wall or ceiling. The light bulb/speaker can be screwed or secured into a standard light bulb socket. The sound producing elements is a coaxial arrangement of speakers having a low frequency transducer and one or more high frequency transducers that can be directed to emit sound in a particular direction. The fixture or bulb may further include digital signal processing to modify the sound to account for obstructions in or near the fixture. The surface of the sound transducer can be reflective in nature to provide focusing or diffusion of the light from the lighting elements. The lighting elements are incandescent, fluorescent or low voltage LED type that may include adjustment for lighting intensity and color.

  • Patent number: 7810322
Abstract: Improvements in a turbo transmission are provided for transferring power from a power source to a work unit. The transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a power source and to a pump that is configured to rotate with the input shaft. The pump transfers energy received from the power source into a fluid or gas. The transmission includes an output shaft and a multi-stage turbine in line. The first turbine is fixed to output shaft, and a plurality of additional turbines are fixed on either one-way overrunning clutches or multi-disc clutches and these clutches are fixed to the output shaft and after each turbine is a multi-valves that discharges the fluid or gas. After all of the multi-stage turbines a planetary gear set connects the turbo transmission to the vehicle or work unit.

  • Patent number: 7812235
Abstract: Improvements in a drum practice pad are disclosed. The practice pad is intended for use with a mobile or shoulder mounted percussion instrument carrier or with a stand configured for use with a percussion instrument. The practice pad incorporates most or all of the geometry of a drum that is addressed by a player. This geometry includes a portion of the striking surface, and a portion of the drum rim. The sticking surface is adjustable within the portion of the drum rim to match the central playing area and the height of the playing surface to the rim of the drum. The assembly allows for attachment or mounting and use of a practice pad from a third party. The strike location of the practice pad is adjustable to simulate different diameter drums. The incorporation of the drum rim allows players to practice rim shots.

  • Patent number: 7802870
Abstract: A scalable expandable spray ink printer machine for use with paper roll stock is disclosed. A series of three or four print heads are place serially in proximity to paper stock. The configuration of the cylindrical print head allows the heads to be expanded for printing on wider paper stock. The print heads include a combination of fixed, turning and sliding components to align or block ink flow from the print ink reservoir. The printer is in fixed position perpendicular to the travel direction and rotates internally on an axis parallel to the paper or media to be printed. The print head is sectional and lengthwise expandable in fixed unit lengths. The printing machine is ideally suited for advertising or other elongated print media. Due to the use of standard paper, roll stock and speed of the printing, signs can be printed on demand and displayed in real-time.
