Patent number: 6929822Abstract: A method for manufacturing an optical member by vapor depositing an antireflective film on a plastic optical member and vapor depositing a water-repellent thin film over the antireflective film. The vapor deposition of the water-repellent thin film is conducted by evaporating a fluorine-containing organic silicon compound in which the plastic optical member does not exceed the maximum temperature during the vapor deposition of the antireflective film. The heating for evaporation comprises a first stage where the temperature is raised from an ordinary temperature to the prescribed temperature (1) not exceeding the starting temperature of vapor deposition of the compound, and the second stage where the temperature is raised from the prescribed temperature (1) to the prescribed temperature (2) equal to or higher than the starting temperature of the vapor deposition. The rate of raising temperature of the first stage of raising temperature is higher than that of the second stage.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2002Date of Patent: August 16, 2005Assignee: Hoya CorporationInventor: Shigetoshi Kono

Patent number: 6928564Abstract: In a client personal computer, when a user starts a remote copy program, the initial remote copy and setting screens are displayed on a screen. Together with this display, power consumption information and status information describing the operating state of each image processing device such as printers and scanners are collected over a network. This information is updated as necessary. The power consumption is estimated for each combination of image processing devices cooperatively processing a job based on the collected information. The combination having the least power consumption among the possible combinations is displayed on a screen. When a user presses the start key, operation specification information including specification for cooperatively executing a job are transmitted to each selected image processing device. In this way, the combination having the least power consumption is selected when a plurality of image processing devices connected on a network cooperatively process a job.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2002Date of Patent: August 9, 2005Assignee: Minolta Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kaoru Tada, Jiro Goto, Tatsuji Hirakawa, Katsuhisa Toyama

Patent number: 6926704Abstract: An absorbent disposable article, such as nappy pants, has a T-shaped tape attached on the outside of the article with such adhesion that the tape withstands a load of at least 25 N in the tape flap without the tape coming away from the outer layer. The tape flap is arranged in a parked state during use and can also be used to seal the article into a closed, folded package after use. When the tape flap has been freed from its parked state, the tape flap forms a stem portion of a T with the two cross-legs of the T permanently attached to the outer layer, so the tensile forces in the tape flap are taken up by the two legs. The outer layer includes a non-woven laminate, with at least one outer ply of spunbond and an inner ply of at least one meltblown.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2002Date of Patent: August 9, 2005Assignee: SCA Hygiene Products ABInventors: Mikael Andersson, Ken Olsson, Anna-Karin Storm
