  • Patent number: 7080068
Abstract: An automatic search method for documents stored in a data processing system is presented. The method involves preselecting large amounts of data automatically thereby enabling the user to find relevant information easily. The task of comparing search string and document content is assigned to the user who does not need to formulate any query statement but browses the documents by comparing their representatives and choosing the ones which fit the query statement. Search terms comprise representatives of the documents, extracts of the documents, or synonyms of the extracts which function as nodes of the semantic network wherein the edges are set up by various relations between the search objects, as for example, detailing relations, thesaurus relations, and combining relations. Movements along the edges are simulated by retrievals of the data storage resulting in new nodes presented to the user in a viewing device of the system.

  • Patent number: 7032690
Abstract: An insert bowl, bushing, or spider includes a bowl having a central bore defined by an inner surface having an upper tapered section for engaging slips supporting a work string and a lower section. A wear indicator, such as a groove or substantially horizontal groove, is formed in the inner surface of the bowl and provides a visual indicator of wear to the bowl. A second wear indicator, such as a groove or substantially horizontal groove, may also be formed in the inner surface of the bowl. The inability to visually detect all or a portion of the wear indicator signifies that maximum recommended wear to the bowl has been reached and the bowl should be replaced to avoid damage to the work string.

  • Patent number: 7003937
Abstract: An adjustment pin for making precision adjustments to the cutting deck height of a lawn mower having a cutting deck height adjustment mechanism that employs a lever, a lever support bracket having lever set holes. The adjustment pin has an elongated stem of a uniform diameter. Disposed along the stem of the pin is a plurality of pin adjustment portions. These adjustment portions each have a successively reduced diameter with respect to the pin stem diameter. Adjustments to the cutting deck height are accomplished by inserting the pin in a desired lever support bracket set hole and positioning the lever against a desired adjustment portion of the pin stem. The user may make precision adjustments of the deck height depending upon his selection of the lever set hole and the choice adjustment portion of the pin stem on which to set the lever.

  • Patent number: 6976819
Abstract: A multi-screw auger equipped tank comprises opposing sides sloping downward and inwardly toward one another. A plurality of shaftless screw transfer augers run along the tank bottom. Drivers and transmissions coupled to the transfer augers permit simultaneous rotation of the augers in the same or opposite directions of rotation, at the same or different rotational speeds. Materials within the tank, typically slurries or sludges, can be moved to one end of the tank by the transfer augers. An inclined screw auger is disposed near the end of the tank distal from the location at which materials are deposited in the tank. The inclined screw auger picks up the materials and moves them out of the tank. Baffles in the tank aid in dewatering slurries and sludges. Circulation of materials within the tank may be done by rotating the transfer augers in different directions and/or rotational speeds. The tank may be emptied by the fluid pump for fluids and/or the inclined augers for solids.

  • Patent number: 6968678
Abstract: Internal combustion (“IC”) engine system for high fuel conversion efficiency and low exhaust emissions, particularly although not exclusively with gaseous fuels. An IC engine operates at approximately stoichiometric (?=1) air/fuel mass ratios. A higher-than-normal compression ratio for typical stoichiometric operation is possible for the engine, due to the introduction of an inert (i.e., not chemically reactive in the combustion process) gas into the air/fuel mixture. The inert gas slows the combustion rate to avoid uncontrolled combustion rates and engine “knock.” The elevated compression ratio yields higher fuel conversion efficiency. Stoichiometric air/fuel ratio permits catalytic processing of the exhaust gas stream to reduce CO, NOx, and HC emissions via a combination of non-selective catalytic reduction process.
