Abstract: Automatic feeding machines are commonly used for filling blister packs with items of product such as pharmaceutical dosage forms. These machines are usually designed for the handling of a specific shape and sized product item. Handling of different shaped items requires expensive re-tooling of all the product item contact components. The invention allows a single feeding machine to be quickly configured for use to handling a wide variety of item sizes/shapes. A machine (21) has a tray (36) defining a series of tapered channels (40) and a container (22) slideably mounted above the tray. A wall of the container and the channels together define apertures into each channel through which items of product pass out of the container. Sliding movement of the container across the planar tray surface (38), along and over the channels, allows the size of the apertures to be adjusted depending upon the size of the item of product to be handled, using the same components.

Abstract: A receiver includes two reception antennas, which receive a modulated wave (transmission signal) from each of transmitters, a selection circuit, which alternately selects one of the two reception antennas at a predetermined switching cycle to alternately obtain the modulated wave from the two reception antennas, and a demodulation section, which generates a demodulated signal by demodulating the modulated wave obtained at the selection circuit. The switching cycle is 27 ?s, which is 1/7.4 of the transmission time of data per symbol in the transmission signal from each transmitter, that is, 200 ?s. In other words, the modulated waves from the two reception antennas are alternately obtained at least seven times each while the data of one symbol is transmitted.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of 2-butyl-3-[[2?-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)[1,1?-biphenyl]-4-yl]-1,3-diazaspiro[4,4]non-1-en-4-one by reaction of the corresponding nitrile with sodium azide and piperazine or its acid salt.
Abstract: In an embedded magnet motor, radial magnets and first inclined magnets form north poles. The radial magnets and second inclined magnets form south poles. Core sheets each include preformed radial accommodating slots the number of which is expressed by P/2. Some of the preformed radial accommodating slots are short slots and the rest are long slots. The short slots are located at some parts of each radial accommodating slot along the axial direction. Radially inner ends of the short slots restrict the radial magnets from moving radially inward.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for measuring electron diffraction of a sample, including the steps of illuminating the sample with an incident electron beam which is deflected from a sample axis to hit the sample at an angle of incidence relative to the sample axis, at least partially subjecting the incident electron beam to diffraction by the sample, subjecting the diffracted and undiffracted electron beams transmitted through the sample to a partial deflection compensation, detecting the intensity of the diffracted and undiffracted electron beams transmitted through the sample in dependency on the angle of incidence and a scattering angle of the diffracted beam. The invention also relates to a computer program for controlling a transmission electron microscope for carrying out the inventive method.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for detecting a leak gas in a flushing device (10), comprising the following steps: the flushing device (10) is disposed on a part (201) that is to be tested; a flushing gas is conducted through the flushing device (10); and the leak gas is detected in the flushing gas that is discharged from the flushing device (10) with the aid of a detector device (30). In order to conduct the flushing gas through the flushing device (10), a predetermined main flushing gas flow (QH) is generated, and said main flow (QH) is separated into a system flow (QS) and a partial flow (QT) on a dividing device (40), the system flow (QS) being fed into the flushing device (10). Also disclosed is a leak testing apparatus (100) for detecting a leak gas in a flushing device (10).
Abstract: A method of indirect bonding and a physical model that allows for optimal positional alignment of orthodontic appliances on a patient's teeth is disclosed. The physical model of the patient's teeth has pods and ridges on the facial surface of the teeth. Adhesive is applied to an orthodontic appliance and the appliance is placed on a tooth of the physical model against the ridge and on top of the pods. The adhesive fills the space in between the appliance and the facial surface of the tooth and adheres to the model, resulting in a dimensionally correct custom base that is properly aligned with the tooth to account for all five positional elements of a tooth. Once all the orthodontic appliances are applied to the model, the appliances can then be removed from the model and bonded to the patient's teeth in the optimal position using a transfer template.
