Abstract: A retention device is provided for supporting the container of intravenous fluids on a patient who is not bedridden. The retention device has a shoulder harness, a top bracket connected to the harness by a pin and a strap engaging and connected to the shoulder harness. The retention device is designed for wide latitude of patient mobility and comfort.
