  • Patent number: 8336562
Abstract: An assemblage of components for decoratively retaining ones hair bundled together in a pony tail. The assemblage includes an elastically stretchable band for tightly circumscribing the bundled collection of hair and a decorative clip that detachably anchors it to the ponytail at a position in overlying relation with respect to the elastic band. The clip is an elongate elastically stretchable unit terminating at opposite ends in a respective one of a pair of connecting clasp portions. The clip has a decorative outer face and an inner face on the opposite side. A pin secured to the unit projects at a selected angle from the inner face and projects into the ponytail at a position above the elastic band extending there through and thereby securely retains the clip on the ponytail. • Patent number: 8302891
Abstract: A device for gathering and removing chicken litter from chicken houses and for compacting the litter onto a compost pile. The scraper, hauler and compacter cleans and levels the floor of a chicken house as the scraper is being pulled by a tow vehicle such as a small tractor. A tiltable container is filled with the litter as scraping is done. When the container is full, the apparatus is towed to a compost pile where the scraper is either backed onto the pile or can be pulled up onto the pile. The container is tilted and the tailgate is opened. The apparatus is configured such that the wheels are in the rear and when the container is tilted into an unloading position with the tailgate hanging down in front of the wheels, the tailgate levels the litter out as the apparatus is moved forward. The wheels compress the litter onto the compost pile.

  • Patent number: 8162071
Abstract: An implement that conditions the ground surface as it is moved there over aerating the soil and distributing fertilizer and/or seeds thereon. The implement has a pair of aerator rollers mounted on a frame that can be towed by a tractor or constructed so as to be self-propelled if so desired. The aerator rollers project below the frame for rolling engagement with the ground and are located one behind the other in tandem relation relative to the direction of travel of the implement during use thereof. Each aerator roller has a plurality of formations defining teeth that penetrate the ground surface. The formations on each aerator roller are spaced apart from one another circumferentially around and longitudinally along the roller associated therewith and such formations on one aerator roller are offset from those on the other roller permitting overlap of the same. The aerator rollers are interconnected in drive and driven relation to rotate in a predetermined ratio.

  • Patent number: 8141929
Abstract: A power operated retractable tailgate assembly for a vehicle that includes a tailgate with opposite end edges thereof connected via sliding pivots to a respective one of a pair of elongate slide rails. The slide rails mount in lateral spaced apart relation on the underside of the floor of the cargo carrying box on the vehicle. A first extendible and retractable assembly, having relatively movable respective first and second portions, has the first portion anchored to the vehicle and a second portion that is hingedly connected to the tailgate proximate a lower marginal edge thereof. A power means is operatively connected to the extendible and retractable assembly and is operable from within the cab of the vehicle selectively to extend and retract the tailgate by moving the tailgate along the slide members.

  • Patent number: 8122609
Abstract: A tool for use when laying out lines on stair stringers or roof rafters along which cuts are to be made. The step and rafter tool includes a framing square, an angle bracket and two carriage bolts with washers and wingnuts. Each leg of the framing square has a longitudinal slot which is about 90% of the length of the leg. The angle bracket has two central longitudinal slots in the first flange, each of which is about 40% of the length of the angle bracket. The angle bracket is positioned against the framing square so that two carriage bolts are place within holes formed by the overlapping slots of the bracket and square with washers and wingnuts assembled therein. With the wingnuts loose, the angle bracket can be positioned wherever is desired with respect to the framing square and then the wingnuts are tightened.

  • Patent number: 8091893
Abstract: A board game containing a board with multicolored squares laid out in a rectangular path and playing pieces to which specialized pieces are added connected as the player advances the playing piece around the board. The specialized pieces to be added to the playing piece represent and look like one of the following: a piece of bread, peanut butter, or jelly. The object of the game is to build a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and advance the sandwich to a space which represents a glass of milk. A player rolls a die, and advances a playing piece the number of spaces on the die. There are spaces of many different colors. Purple corresponds to jelly, yellow corresponds to a piece of bread and brown corresponds to peanut butter. Spaces of other colors don't have a special meaning. If a player lands on purple, yellow or brown and if the player needs the piece corresponding to that color, then that piece is joined to the player's playing piece.

  • Patent number: 8056646
Abstract: A device for making holes in the ground for easy insertion and planting of garden plants which are rooted in small containers. The tool has a least one frustro-conical or frustro-pyramidal shaped projection forming a cone extending down projecting downward from a base of a stirrup having a means for attaching a handle defining a cylinder formed at the top of the stirrup. A long handle may project up from the tool body with a large aperture just above the tool body into which the user's foot may be placed to help in pushing the projections into the ground to make holes sized for planting garden plants. The tool body can be connected to the handle rigidly or may swivel if desired. In one embodiment a plurality of frustro-conical shaped projections extend from a tool body. The projections are assembled onto a tool body in such a way that the distance between each of the projections is easy adjustable.

  • Patent number: 7997605
Abstract: A trailer with a pivoting and extendable tongue for use with all terrain vehicles (ATV) wherein the trailer tongue connects to a standard vehicle hitch receiver providing means for pivoting the trailer up in a raised transport or storage space saving configuration supported by the ATV or other vehicle receiver. The tongue is telescoping. The wheels are provided with heavy duty fenders which can be pivotally mounted on the wheel axles to function as sled runners. Support members extend from the axles to a selected point under the trailer frame at a selected angle in front of the wheels to function as brush guards so that the wheels are not caught in brush, hung on stumps, or deep gullies. A keeper can be removed to allow the fenders to be rotated forward and down to be used as sled runners when the ATV is towing a load in the snow. The wheels are also positioned under the trailer bed to extend pass the frame to allow the trailer to be backed over objects such as logs or gullies.

  • Patent number: 7954782
Abstract: Picture Hanging Position Finder And Wall Marking Device has an elongated adjustable vertical support with a hanger at the top to accept and hold a wire or bracket for a framed picture or other hanging object, wherein the device may lean against a wall with the back of the vertical support held flush against the wall, and with the bottom of the vertical support elevated above any wall baseboard, and held in place by forward and laterally extending legs which reach down to a horizontal floor. As such, a picture can be suspended from the vertical support, and the device can be moved to any location against a wall, and the height can adjusted and locked in place, so that a user may view the picture from a distance as if it were hung on the wall in order to choose a desirable location for the picture. The device then has a means for marking the wall for the installation of a permanent hanger at the precise location from where the picture had been temporarily suspended.
