  • Patent number: 8346835
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and filter structure for filtering an input signal, which is applied to an input (1) of the filter structure, having a symbol rate. The input signal is guided to multiple parallel branches of the filter structure connected to the input (1), in which at least two sequence holding members (4) are each disposed. Symbol values of the input signal, which are applied to the outputs of the sequence holding members (4) at certain points are guided to multiple (N) parallel signal addition units (3) having weighted inputs. One output signal each is generated in the signal addition units (3) as the sum of the weighted symbol values that are applied to the inputs. According to the invention, space and energy saving filter structure is provided, wherein: the same amount of sequence holding members (4.1, 4.2, 4.3) is disposed in each of the parallel branches; as many signal addition units (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.

  • Patent number: 8331232
Abstract: In a data packet router, a router fabric card for routing data packets is provided. The router fabric card comprises a plurality of ingress/egress ports, the ports connected through a switching facility for switching connection states of the port paths between individual ingress paths and individual egress paths on the fabric card, and a scheduling component for scheduling communication between ports on the fabric card. Data coming into ingress on the card is organized into individual data-packet trains, each individual train comprising data packets and inserted data denoting a starting point and an ending point of a train. The switching facility recognizes the start data and the end data of a train and switches port paths to a next-assigned connection state accordingly.

  • Patent number: 8322665
Abstract: The All-in-one Tripod/Monopod is single-shaft assembly with a base section located at the bottom and telescoping sections that form both a tripod and a monopod of unlimited height. The base is a section with three legs individually hinged at the bottom of the section. The legs can be pivoted independently. All legs pivoted downward form a tripod. All legs pivoted upward form a monopod. Minimum length and portability are provided when all sections are retracted and all legs are pivoted upward. Modularity allows sections to be individually added and removed so that they can be used in whole or in part. Modularity is provided for through a three position latch assembly. Both the top section of the shaft, and the tripod/monopod handle have a threaded screw for mounting a camera or other device. Individual sections, when detached, make special purpose monopods, chest pods, belt pods and extendable poles.

  • Patent number: 8267548
Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting device for a motor vehicle. Said lighting device comprises a light source (1; 96) for emitting electromagnetic radiation, in particular light which is visible to the human eye, and a reflector (70; 81; 90) for focusing the emitted light. The light source (1; 96) is fastened on the reflector (70; 81; 90) at least indirectly in a defined position relative to a reflective surface of said reflector. In order firstly to make heat transfer from the reflector (70; 81; 90) to the light source (1; 96) more difficult and secondly to enable EMC shielding by virtue of an electrical contact between the light source (1; 96) and the reflector (70; 81; 90), the invention proposes that a material (72) with poor thermal conductivity is arranged between the reflector (70; 81; 90) and the light source (1; 96) for thermally insulating the light source (1; 96) from the reflector (70; 81; 90).
