A card eject mechanism includes a slider (50) movably mounted on the housing and engageable with the memory card for movement therewith into and out of the cavity. The slider has a cam slot (52) defining movement of the card in the card-insertion and card-withdrawal directions. A cam pin (64) is operatively engageable in the cam slot of the slider. The cam pin (64) is formed from the metal shell.

    Abstract: A fiber optic connector module includes a ferrule terminated to at least one optical fiber. The ferrule includes a front mating end and a rear end. A pin keeper is engaged with the rear end of the ferrule. At least one alignment pin extends from the pin keeper through the ferrule and projects beyond the front mating end of the ferrule for operative association with a complementary connecting device. A pusher member is spaced behind the pin keeper. A spring is sandwiched between the pusher member and the pin keeper. The spring has opposite ends compressible between the pusher member and the pin keeper. The fiber optic connector module also includes a housing having a forwardly facing abutment surface for engaging a rearwardly facing abutment surface on the ferrule. The forwardly facing abutment surface on the housing is convexly rounded so that the ferrule can tilt relative to the housing.

The through hole has opposite open ends through which the pressure contacting end portions of the contact members project. Restricted stops are formed at the open ends of the through holes for abutting the enlarged inner ends of the contact members to define outer limit positions of the pressure contacting end portions of the contact members. A biasing member is disposed in the through hole to resiliently bias the contact members in opposite directions. The invention contemplates that an outside diameter of the sleeve at a first end thereof be smaller than an outside diameter of the sleeve at a second end thereof.

    Abstract: A sealed optical fiber connector assembly includes a connector housing that is uniquely configured to cooperate with a cable crimp tail and one or more terminal fiber optic connectors. The connector housing has a first opening for securely retaining the terminal fiber optic connectors. An interior passage connects the first opening to a second opening at the housing's other end. The interior passage allows the crimp tail to pass through the housing. The second opening forms a shoulder so that the crimp tail, after being pushed through the first opening and passage, can be rotated and seated against the shoulder. A cable seal securely holds the crimp tail against the shoulder. This provides a sealed and substantially stronger cable attachment. The connector housing is part of removable optical connector that provides environmental sealing when mated to a corresponding adapter.
