Abstract: A method and apparatus corrects data read from a multilevel cell memory. The multilevel cell is capable of storing three or more charge states. A first charge state read from the multilevel cell is determined to be erroneous. An output is provided corresponding to that which would be provided if the multilevel cell were maintaining a second charge state, wherein the second charge state has more charge than the first charge state.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for recovering missing teleconference object data during an electronic conference starts with a second participant being assigned to provide requested teleconference object data to a first participant. The first participant later determines that the second participant is unavailable. The first participant broadcasts a message to the plurality of participants to determine if another participant has the requested teleconference object data. A third participant replies to the first participant if it has the requested teleconference object data. The first participant assigns the third participant to provide the requested teleconference object data to the first participant.
Abstract: A computer system includes a single instruction multiple data (SIMD) instruction set. At a first observation time, a first SIMD instruction is used to determine a first plurality of probabilities for the stochastic model to be in a certain set of states after transitioning via a first set of transitions. A second SIMD instruction is used to determine a second plurality of probabilities for the stochastic model to be in the same set of states after transitioning via a second set of transitions. A third SIMD instruction is used to compare the results of the first two SIMD instructions to determine a set of intermediate probabilities. Another SIMD instruction adds a set of distribution probabilities to the set of intermediate probabilities. A new way of organizing the distribution probabilities in memory enables use of the SIMD instructions. The steps are repeated for other observation times to determine a final probability of a multimedia observation matching a multimedia stochastic model.
Abstract: A power supply includes a power cable interface. The power supply also includes an interface guard. The interface guard has an unlocked position and a locked position. When the interface guard is in the unlocked position, the power supply can be attached and detached from a chassis of an electrical system. When the interface guard is in the locked position, the power supply cannot be attached or detached from the chassis of the electrical system. The power cord can only be attached to the power supply while the interface guard is in the locked position.
