Abstract: A gaming console configured with an auxiliary flexible display unit, e.g., a flexible LCD unit, providing different viewing angles for viewing displayed messages of advertisements is provided. The flexible display unit may comprise a plurality of individual flexible display modules which may be oriented as to define separate viewing windows or corridors to display related or unrelated messages, viewable from different directions. Corridors of viewing may be defined by software so that the flexible display unit may present messages uniquely to each defined corridor, which corresponds to one or more flexible display modules or portions thereof.

Abstract: An improved contact lens case which includes domes that are provided on hinged members. Preferably, the contact lens case is configured to efficiently utilize space and volume such that no more than 10 cc's of contact lens solution are required to disinfect contact lenses in the case. The hinged members are preferably non-planar which allows the domes to be provided on the hinged members, and allows the use of deep larger diameter, back-to-back cages on the stem, without having to resort to using more than 10 cc's of fluid to immerse contact lenses that are disposed on the domes, between each of the domes and a respective cage. Each of the hinged members has a cylindrically-curved shell form in which the axis of its curve is approximately parallel to the central axis of the central planar stem member.

Abstract: A dishwasher includes a cabinet and a wash system slidably mounted within the cabinet in such a manner that it may be withdrawn horizontally out of the cabinet for loading with dishes. The wash system includes an open top wash chamber having a floor and side walls adapted to accommodate dishes within which wash liquid is sprayed. Two rotating spray arms are mounted in the bottom of the chamber for producing a spray of wash liquid within the chamber. A wash pump for pressurizing wash liquid discharges into a manifold located on the floor of the chamber. The spray arms receive wash liquid from the manifold. A drain pump evacuates wash liquid from said chamber. A wash chamber closure is mounted in the top of the cabinet. The closure engages with the wash chamber opening to sealably close off the wash chamber on its retraction into the cabinet.

Abstract: An actuating device is provided for moving a closure panel between an open position spaced apart from a vehicle body and a closed position abutting the vehicle body to close an access opening thereof. The actuating device includes a telescopic arm having a first member coupled to one of the closure panel and the vehicle body and a second member coupled to the other of the closure panel and the vehicle body. The first and second members are slidable relative to one another to move the actuating device between a retracted position corresponding with the closed position and an extended position corresponding with the open position. A screw is rotatable relative to the first member. The screw includes a cavity formed therewithin. A nut is secured to the second member and threadingly engages the screw such that rotation of the screw moves the second member towards and away from the first member to move the actuating device between the respective retracted and extended positions.

Abstract: A cable window regulator assembly is mounted to a carrier panel. At least four pulleys are spaced around the carrier panel, each rotating around an axis substantially perpendicular to the carrier panel. A lift plate assembly is displaced away from the carrier panel and is constrained to travel in a closure plane solely by the closure panel. An upper and a lower cable is trained around a first pair of the pulleys. One end of each of the upper and lower cables is affixed to a drive assembly; the other end of the upper and lower cables is affixed to the lift plate assembly on opposite sides near opposing edges of the lift plate assembly. Engaging the drive assembly causes the lift plate assembly to move towards either an open or a closed position. A follower cable, affixed to the lift plate assembly at opposite sides thereof and trained about a second pair of the pulleys, maintains coordinated travel of the lift plate assembly.

Abstract: An actuating device, particularly for a vehicle door lock, having a cam wheel (11) comprising at least one cam (13), the cam wheel being selectively rotatable about a rotation axis (11a) in two directions, and an adjustment lever (12) comprising a dog (14), the lever (12) being pivotable about a rotation axis (12a) by interaction between the at least one cam (13) and the dog (14), between two stop or end positions. The dog (14) has a first actuation curve (14a) and at least one second actuation curve (14b). Interaction between the at least one cam (13) and the first actuation curve (14a) on the dog (14) causes no pivoting of the adjustment lever (12), and interaction of the at least one cam (13) with the at least one second actuation curve (14b) on the dog (14) initiates pivoting of the adjustment lever (12) between the two stops.

Abstract: A head restraint pivot latch for a seat assembly allowing pivotal adjustment of a head restraint relative to a seat back. A base member is pivotally assembled to the seat back allowing movement of the head restraint between a use position and a folded position. A first bracket having an index slot is fixedly assembled to the base member. A second bracket having a locking slot defining the use position extends between a proximal end pivotally assembled to the base member and a distal end fixedly secured to the seat back. A button having a tang and a tang slot is movable between the use position, with the tang extending through both the index slot of the first bracket and the locking slot of the second bracket, and a released position with the second bracket slidably engaged within the tang slot, allowing pivotal movement of the head restraint between the two positions.

Abstract: An instrument panel having easy-to-read instruments is disclosed and which in certain embodiments allows for more efficient use of space behind the instrument panel by providing a partially reflective screen in the instrument panel and mounting certain instruments or instrument elements in the brow of the dashboard over and in front of the screen so that images of the instruments or elements in the brow are reflected off the screen. Other instruments or instrument elements may be located behind the screen, and from a viewing location, the instruments or elements combine into an integral display.
